But "herp a derp, 'murrika after their oil!", right? |
:haha: It's funny how people think whatever they want to think, instead of understanding the actual facts. The UN Security Council imposes a no-fly zone over Libya? Must be the US trying to get more oil. |

Do you actually believe that the security council gives a about the people dying over there? If so then why did it take them this long to make a decision on the no fly zone? Also how long will this no fly zone be on till? What roll will Canada be playing in all of this and under what cost? |

no but you can't deny the fact that they are trying to help stabalize commodity prices by elminating the conflict in that area. No conflict = secured reserve low gas prices, no double dip recession. |

so actually its not the US wanting the to get more oil (they import next to nothing from libya) but europe to get more oil
brent crude down = wti crude down = gas prices for your car = down = one happy family. |

Haha, I was just about to ask why, very uncharacteristically (at least in recent years), the French were at the forefront of these efforts. |

Cost of having one happy family: Invading and killing of people from other nations so that we can be all nice and happy here in the West. Sad world we live in eh? |

Sorry I just dont buy this. I highly doubt that this is the true intention of the west. Why didnt they help the people of Iran for instance? Did they not deserve the same support as the people of libya? How about The people in Bahrain? Why do we pick and choose over which evil dictator gets to go? |

because there is no valid opposition in iran? You know very well that if the US went into iran it would be exactly like iraq.
The people of libya do not want groudn troops in. You would definatley need US ground troops for iran. And if that happend, you know that the people would turn against their "liberators" and side with ahmedinijad.
Common sense no?
also right now libya is the worst situation.
already 30,000 dead i think
thats more then the earthquake tsunami and potential meltdown in japan. (worst case senario if all the misssing are dead) |
