how's your fam. taking it? and did you ever read the eric lott book i'd recommended a while back?
My family is awesome and supportive. I would say much closer all around. The most difficult to come out to was my twin brother, because we were so close growing up and he looks up to me a lot.
I've got the book but haven't got around to it yet. :/

Whats always sorta bugged me is that transgenders seem to group with transgenders. Even if they get realignment surgery they seem to group with transgenders only, and it becomes more of a culture onto its own self.
They really aren't men or women it seems because they don't assimilate (or they aren't allowed to assimilate) into those groups (though to me it seems to be more of a choice rather than a restriction).
Just find it odd. The trans community is so trampy/campy its annoying. Even if I was gay I can't see it being a community I'd want to be involved with because they just seem annoying.
That's true, but if you experienced some of what these people have experienced, you might understand why they stick together. Even after GRS, it's very difficult to tell people your history, and there is a psychological history that follows you, insecurities and everything. It's a very traumatic experience.
That said, there are plenty of trans people who are active in other communities. Personally I never hit it off well with a lot of the other transwomen because I have a lot going for me outside of my gender stuff. I prefer to be friends with people who share my some of these other interests and I don't feel like I need to be part of some kind of insular community to keep me from the 'real world'. I think the way it used to be was more insular because the world was less accepting and more dangerous. I think you'll find now that more young transgender people are like me, integrated with the world and successful.

haha not quite.. maybe a bit. i once dated a parisian drag queen that was quite like her but younger.
i am more grace jones and less grace kelly. plus i'm not a drag queen.
i think people would describe me as demure, though.
here are some things from my inspiration wall... i clip out all kinds of stuff from magazines and the internet to get ideas and find out what i like.

this is one of my favorite eye looks i've done
I'm in the middle of laser hair removal all over my face so I'm still having to go through a lot to cover up the beard shadow at the moment, which is horrible because i have to wear a lot more makeup than i'd like. You've got beard cover, then powder to set it, then foundation, then powder to set that, then contouring/highlights, rouge, etc... but soon it will be smooth.
As far as cosmetics go I am super spoiled though, because my partner is a model and she also used to work for chanel, so I have a lot of awesome high end stuff that I get for free. And we share a lot of things (not eyeliner).
hehe cool. I was just wondering.
I love Urban Decay's Primer Potion. Is aweeeeeeeeeesome. But chanel stuff is really good and fancy too! (Too expensive for me :x hehe)
You do beard cover and face primer too? Maybe that might work better. Also - youtube has awesome make up tip videos. I've had fun with them :D.

So you have a girlfriend... did she know that you wanted to be a woman? Is she ok with it? Do you think she will stay with you once you are done the change?
