In game 7s, I like to go with the best goalie, and you guys have Ryan Miller.
But who knows. |
Well he has 2 shutouts so far in this series, so I'd bet on him. Also Philly's goaltending is average at best, so if Buffalo can get a few early goals, I think they can hold on. That is, of course, if they don't give up 49 ing shots and get completely dominated in the 2nd period yet again.
I'm guessing a 3-2 win for the Sabres. |

i've always defended the guy against the people that were screaming that he is overrated. I'm being proved wrong right now, and if you look at when he has played his best hockey it is in no pressure situations with teams that have 0 fanbase. When its time to play his head plays games with him or something, because his fundamentals become sloppy.
When you are 6 4 if you square up to the puck and cover post to post the majority of pucks will hit you. When your fundamentals go out the window, being large can play against you because of a somewhat more limited mobility. Luongo is fast, but bigger guys are always a tad slower.
Chicago is exposing him as soon as he hits the ice before the shot. That is a sign of a goalie that is scared and guessing.
We lived the exact same situation with price last year. It all mental execution imo...
Luongo isn't allowed to wear the oversized equipment that made him impossible to score against anymore, that certainly is another good reason as to why he probably isn't as good as he is supposed to be. |

Yeah, you're right.
Corey Schneider had enough of an impressive year to challenge him for his starting spot, too. |

:( Hopefully their new owner will have the team headed in the right direction for next year. They need to completely overhaul their defense. Myers and Gragnani have been, for the most part, the only very consistant defenseman this whole series. Both of them are real young, so if they went out and got a good veteran defenseman to put in some serious minutes as well, they'd be looking real nice for next year. Miller can't make 45 saves every game to even give them a chance.
That being said, I hope they can somehow pull this one out, but it's really not looking good at this point :nervous:
Edit: Looks like that's about all she wrote. Great season. A lot of people counted them out about mid-way through the season.
That must have been hard as hell for Lindy Ruff to pull Ryan Miller from a game 7 in the playoffs. |

| It's times like these I take solace in the fact that I'm not a Leafs fan |

| Vancouver got lucky last night but I think this was the kick in the pants they needed. I think they breeze through to the semi finals now. |
