Fixed.
Even the Pens put up a better fight without Malkin/Crosby. |

I think we have 3 good young goaltenders and can only look at odd members of the squad who either weren't good enough (hannan) or didn't play well enough (Backstrom, Semin) |
if you are using 3 goaltenders its because they aren't that good. The caps are gonna get the rebuild treatment this summer along with a new coach and gm. @ epic fails in a row, don't even ask me what is up with Philly. |

Yeah I figured they would put up a better fight than this. If its a sweep, ill be shocked. |

Boston is not letting them come back after last year. Philly is being out coached and outclassed. All these results make me a little sad, because we were one shot away from the next round...and the teams i didn't think we could beat are being beaten by teams i thought we could.
game of inches, sort of like "who's in my mouth". |

I think that the problem is that they're 3 rookies and we have nobody to work as an experienced head. Take the 'best' of the 3 and pair him with a good experienced tender and we'd be better off maybe short term at least. Defense wise we need to lose Hannan and one or two but Carlson, Green etc are good. Forward wise we're probably weakest at center with only Backstrom (who didn't show up this playoff series) and Arnott who only came in recently. I do wonder if they'll give BB one more go though, I dunno how patient they are in hockey as opposed to soccer. |

| if you paired a rookie with a decent veteran it would be good for the long term too, that will help build his confidence. anyway, i have no doubt the core group of stars on the Caps will win a Cup but clearly not this year and maybe not even next.. |

| which of the 3 do you fancy most? I think Holtby & Neuvirth are probably better than Semeyon, but he's still got a good potential. |

| i haven't watched enough of their games to make a good decision on which is best and given they are all more or less the same height we can't go with jay's idea. maybe neuvirth because he has experience winning although on a lower level. |
