that's.... weird. I'd love to be able to take slower music but I can't get into it, I think it's because my head goes through too many processes at once and so I somehow feel faster music soothing.

I can only put it down to my mind being on constant overdrive. It doesn't always sound fast to me until you get to the 200+ bpm stuff but even in that I can hear specific bits when a dj is cutting and mixing it and appreciate it even if the music itself is just noise by then.
