that video has sound editing out the wazoo... plus their could be 2 mixers/ and multiple CDj's, not that exact ones in that frame

I'd dare say that not all producers that make a seemingly simple track are taking the lazy way out. Look at a bunch of Push tracks back in the day. So simple but so amazing.
I would say though that if you rip off synths/parts from someone and don't give credit, then you're a bit of a douche.

We're talking about nearly an entire track consisting of a pre-made loop from a sample pack - that is lazy! Creative productions that are simple yet effective deserve the credit they receive ;)

It's really about whatever sounds good. something could be heavily produced and still sound like trash. You can parallel it to the the whole vinyls vs. digital mixing debate as well. It's whatever sounds good. Sometimes the simplest route is the best one to take.
