Weren't we all complaining not too long ago that we were not getting enough trance here in Toronto? Now that Gielen is here (and being promoted by Swamper and TA no less) we should be all heading this one up to show our support. If it's too far for some people I can understand but what's with all this 00 vs Gielen bashing? Gielen cheese(?) hah, you got to be kidding me.
I have nothing against Flemming, in fact I know I will enjoy my night at systems too if I'd decided to go. However having been to Viva and Systems on numerous occasions, the chance to catch a world class Dj like Gielen at Viva is way too good for me to pass up. It's weird but I find the asians supporting their trance scene moreso than anyone else. It's always packed on Trance night that's why so many predominantly asian clubs play mostly trance.
Big props to all the TRUE TA's that are going out of their way to make it up to Markham for this great event. A big up to you all. |

hehe..I'll hit up the Brass Rail before I go TTA and pick up a couple rippers for Gielen, I heard they get really wet to great trance...Not to mention they are already great dancers :haha: |

I'll be at Viva for this one...
For those of you whining about the "all ages" aspect - there's a 19+ vip bar with tons of seating at the back so you have plenty of time to drink and chill...
Besides, last I remembered a lot of you want the days of 1999 back with the big parties that kicked ass - and also happened to be "all ages" - yet had no booze. |

| Im going to Viva for sure for this one. Even though I've never seen any of them live, I would still prefer Johan. Another thing, there's simply no comparison between Systems and Viva, in my book Viva is 2nd only to Guv....and calling Johan cheese? WTF? Thats like calling AVB cheese, I mean if a Dj doesn't play harder and more progressive sounds it doesn't mean he's cheese. |

And how is Johan Gielen a world-class DJ again? Cuz he's got Trance Energy backing him up? Yes, lots of commercialization makes someone a world-class DJ :haha: :haha:
John '00' Flemming was around much longer, first off. Secondly, he's a better DJ in every aspect. What does Johan spin? Pure anthems. Nothing else. He has absolutely no variety in his sets. I used to like the guy, but after listening to his Trance Energy's and whatnot, I noticed how he's got the same lameass style throughout each set; drop the big anthems. , I could do that. If you want, I can make you a cd with a bunch of nice anthems, full of energy...and I'll mix the songs live for you too, if you want. Other than Trance Energy, I don't hear anything about Johan at all. And as for Flemming...his personality may not be as overblown as Johan's, but he can definately pull in the crowd.
And also, by your logic, Johan is a better, and bigger DJ than Armin van Buuren cause I don't really see Armin headlining as many events as Johan does. And yet, Armin is a much more desired DJ than Johan is.
Anywho, go for whatever you want...if you have fun then thats all that really matters. |
