Johan is NOT cheese. He is by far one of my favorite trance DJ's ever. So much so, I booked a flight to DC to see him there this Sat. (long b4 it was announced he would come here, & forgetting that I would already be seeing him at Godskitchen Global Gathering & Dance Valley). In fact, this weekend will be the 5th time I've seen him since NYE in 4 different cities, & I'm worried he's gonna think I'm stalking him. ;) Seriously, both DJ's are great, but for different reasons. I almost wish I were staying here to see him at Viva, cuz I'd like to check that club out. Guess I'll have to wait til the next big name to go there.

Yea..really..Remember last time he was here he was scratching Joyenergizer, making the crowd go wild, and then that insane mix of Flight 643 when he made the build up last for like 3 minutes, he was slapping the crossfader back and forth, it was awsome. I'll never forget it to cause I was right beside him well doing that just watching in amazment. It was ing awsome.

well this would start another huge debate now wouldn't it..lol We should start a thread in Music Disscusion about this...because before Renissance 1 came out there wasn't much out there in terms of progressive. And is why Renissance1 cd's sell for over 200 bucks and the vinyl is pratically priceless in the DJ loop. But if you can tell me of other CD's before renissance that were progressive then I might agree with you.

1. Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, Sasha were playing progressive since early 1990's
2. the first GU was made by TONY DE VIT, who is dead now...

so im thinkin, how does Digweed relate into all of this?? stating about CD's that were made for progressive doesn't mean that the genre was created...i really dont know where progressive came from, but i know one thing that Digweed didn't create it! Global Underground is just a great company thats finds the great talents, not only in progressive, but trance/breaks/ambient and other electronica styles. even that GU 001 wasn't all the progressive either....

hey man i know and you know about that for sure. :) im not planning to debate here, i just stated some reasonable facts coz some people on TA dont know much about progressive and other genre's that exist outside of trance...
