Johan Gielen or John '00' Fleming??? (pg. 4)

Ok if I am here next friday it is Gielen all the way... I have yet to see him live where as i have seen "00" more than once. Yes he is good but its always good to taste different fruits.
Secondly I have been to System a bazillion times and have never seen Viva. This is a perfect opportunity to check it out.
Lastly this is a TrancEaddict promoted event ya gotta love that! |

Az man...I could NOT agree more! I have seen "00" his set was good. NO complaints whatsoever. Been to system tons of times here or there, been to Viva once, I like Viva in contrast to System but if System pulls in a dj I would like to see I will go there (Picotto for example...hmmm might go when he comes). I have not seen Gielen, I have seen "00" therefore the choice is obvious, Gielen for me. And the fact that he spins "cheese" wtf? It's TRANCE, who cares?? All you ppl out there who want to be cool and think that because you listen to "underground" stuff it's better, who really cares? You honestly think that Gielen is cheese/commerical garbage? I doubt it, if that were the case then he'd be on the radio and then it would be overplayed crap. my 2c...I'm @ Gielen, see whoever goes there.
Anyway, wherever you all go, just party like MAD!:D |

No, I don't think that the "underground" stuff I listen to is better...well, ok, I do think it is...but here's a comparison for ya my good friend;

Both spin trance! Yet Armin's sets are fookin amazing...and Gielen's are...hmmm :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: lacking style, flow, variety...etc etc etc.
Oh, and as for why I wanna see Flemming instead of Gielen, other than all the reasons mentioned...is because I haven't seen Flemming at all, but heard he's in amazing. And since I've always liked him...well...maybe I should go see him then, no? |

Valid points Pete however I still think Gielen's sets are done well, why? Because They are FILLED with energy, and that's what I'm there for. For pure uplifting feel good make me go insane epic trance. Specifically that. If I wanted a more varied set that had high's low's just parts where you can chill to/groove to, in other words a mix of stuff I'd go for "00". :) In the end we will all have kick ass times for different reasons which don't really matter. It's personal taste and you can't criticize somebody for liking something that they like in terms of trance because we're supposed to be open minded anyway right? lol Ok enough of my ramblings, see you all at Gielen if not there then SUMMER'S END!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!:D :eyes:

P.S. If you like OO by all means go see him, if here were the only dj spinning on Fri I'd go see him as well! He spins awesome stuff. |

Well, from my personal experiences, when they have a "special" VIP area with booze it usually winds up being at an OUTRAGOUSLY high price. The price of booze @ systems is legit cpmpared to teh docks and Guv.
No offence to the under 19 TAs but I ahve had REALLY bad experiences @ all ages events. Every time I have been to one I never had fun. Mainly casue teenie boppers ( NOT ANY TAs) wind up bumping into me (RUDELY) all the time while I dance. So I prefer not to go to them. but once again I think the under 19 TAs we got here are mature enough NOT to bump into people rudely to the point where it ruins one's nite. Like I said it is not the TAs that do that, but other ppl who do that. |

Hey man that is just politics.. Radio 1 will obviously put their djs first when it comes to the essential mix. Also I believe Gielen, MarcoV, Rank1 etc have contracts with ID&T which I am sure does not allow them to play on the radio for other radio stations w/o consent. Especial one of their biggest competitors such as Radio 1. |
