Swedish House Mafia...and the individual DJ's

Not sure if anyone here likes SHM, but those that do or knows at least more about them can you share some opinions?

If those 3 swedes do their own solo set, do they sound different than SHM stuff? Which one of them would seem to be the most technical, uplifting, or heavy?

Or..you can post and tell me how much they suck or how overrated they are.

Thanks

agreed!!!

i noticed that Axwell doesn't really do long sets though :( Usually Steve will play longer sets.

edit* I personally don't like when the 3 play together.

Axwell is my fav, then Angello, then Ingrosso. Attitude wise, Ingrosso's is pretty bad. Any watch the Swedish House Mafia's Documentary Take One? Ingrosso was bitching about his ride to Ultra.

Axwell is more likely to mix a bunch of songs @ one time. But I'm under the impression that he has 2 cd's in the cdj's and has all his songs for his sets on there, so just goes from one to the other.

Its pretty sick how Angello rarely uses headphones. I know he didn't before, but I've seen him use a headphone at times.

As far as rates, I think Wet Republic last year booked each of them for 50 minutes each, booked all 3 of them and then they allowed them to use Swedish House Mafia name. Don't quote me though. I'd guess Axwell can easily charge 30k a night.

I'm pretty sure Erick Morillo charges 50k on any random night in any random city. (even if venue is small) 75k or more holiday weekends like Tao Memorial and Labor Day Weekends.

Tiesto probably charges 75k, and I'd guess 100-250k for an event like Tiesto in Concert.

These are all just guesses or what I've heard over the years...never personally booked any of them so dunno.

i enjoyed watching the documentary, it was pretty cool seeing how 'one' was born, even though they probably re-did it for the recording.

i know these guys have a lot of haters for being show boaters and being very bare bones, but the audience seems to love 'em so more power to them.
