Shoot, next time they should let you have the main stage man. Your sets are legendary, I've been listening to your mixes for years, deff my fav dj on this site.

wow why thank u!

i can guarrantee this ....if I ever had 6 hours on one of those main stages it would be relentless

unfortunately IMHO alot of the old school guys dont play with heart like they did back in the day when they were coming up...its probably become more of a job to them and not to special anymore

you know what...PVD can bring all the computers all the gadgets he wants, put on more of a show and it still wont even come close to how he was railing it in the late 90's early 2k with just some decks and cd players

good ol days

I remember when pvd wouldn’t even crack a smile or move whatsoever when he was behind the decks. He once looked down at me at roxy and did a miny thumbs up when I showed him a sign to play Skydive, everyone around me almost collapsed lol, that was a huge thing for him to do, now a days he’s jumping all over the place but doesn’t focus on what's coming out of the speakers.

If I owned my own club I would be 100% focused on up and comming djs / producers, While the oldschool djs are great (besides pvd ;) ), we need a massive infusion of new talent into this scene, new dj's and producers, and we need them on the big stages.

I totally agree with you there, although Im not old enough to have experienced the 90's, I certainly got my mind blown many times, in the early-mid 2000's......

One that note:

LOL did anyone even have a good time otherwise?? , I was just enjoying the friends, the laughing, the weather, the view....I couldnt even tell you what the man played but it was good enough to make me dance while socializing n having a blast otherwise! Has everyone forgotten how to party, or did ya just forget to mention it in your reviews because you were mad about the music? LOL :stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

well the weather was pretty nice. so was seeing all the friendly faces. i WAS annoyed by sand in my sneakers/socks though. trip home was uncomfortable. :o

I had an ok time. I agree nothing really special happened. That's funny that people are mentioning the "stabbing" chords. The whole time I was like, "wtf up with all these stabbing chord tracks, they all are so simple and sound the same." He did play some good pure trance though but not nearly enough. Reverse- Distant Destiny is such a great track. I wish he played more new stuff from his Vandit label- can't go wrong with producers like Gary Proud and Sneider.

I didn't go, but judging from the reviews I'm glad I didn't come out of my pvd retirement. I gave up on his ass a long time ago.

OMG i thought i was crazy!!!! right around central park time i used to think he's definately getting a bit more animated up in the booth...it almost looked forced.....and your absolutely right that dog never cracked a smile and was in the zone and meant business!!!!!!

i will keep going to hear because maybe 1 outta 5 times he'll let it loose and it will make up for all the 4 crappers!
