Def agree with all the stabbing chords tracks and the big room 'nu-trance/ candy-trance' tracks. But there was one point in the night where I just looked up at PVD as he was staring at the mixer and not making any contact with anyone in the crowd, and it made me think in my head that this guy is one of the pioneers, the founders. Was the first trance DJ that I ever experienced and I said to myself 'the party continues'. I had a moment haha what can I say.
ALways have a blast when everyone of you are at the same party haha so much fun :)
and of course, thank you Aldi!! haha glad you liked what we were throwin down! |

^^^yeah, see them back in the day, get influenced, then spend the rest of your days chasing that "...remember when?" musical high. FRUSTRATING!
Thank heavens I got to see him before Ableton days. No way he'd inspire me today. |

I gotta say i absolutley loved evrything about the night, the venue the sound and crowd..everyone was smiles and very respectful..the ONLY thing i had a problem with was the drink prices. $26 for the big solo cups of Stoli/Soda....i needed some KY with that first.
I though PvD started off perfect..slow beats and then as the sky got dark he did too.
People he to understand when PvD does these shows is more about an over-all party then a club-event..the music does matter, but there are so many onther factors..the weather was perfect, seeing old school friends and chatting with new ones. Everyone was there to have a good time.
As for Pacha..the music was great..sucked PVD ditched out..that is BS. Of course making out with a 19yr old at by the DJ booth helped the night out too..:toocool: |

Yeah, I'm not getting all the hate for PVD on this one, I thought he was onpoint most of the night. Great location, weather, vibe. Such a fun day. There was no one there till 7 because of the ferry situation, he wasn't going to come out full-on to a half empty venue. It was a 6 hour outdoor party, not an hour festival slot or a 4-6 hour club gig. With the exception of the monsoon at Summerstage one year, these parties have always been a little more chill and diverse. And we were upfront for most of the party and he was playing pretty hard the last 2 1/2 hours. And where were these train wrecks? I didn't hear any to be honest.
Anyone expecting 6 hours of trance from PVD these days is going to be disappointed, he hasn't played like that since his Roxy gigs. Even at Terminal 5, where he shredded the place for three hours, he was playing a bunch of different genres. It's been like that for a while now, don't know where all the confusion is coming from. Him not showing at Pacha was definitely blew. |

Exactly.
And props to DanceHere & Massive for pulling the event off. And to all the DJs at the afterparty, PVD or no-PVD, they all brought it from what I heard. |

You are correct, but to some people it seems that no matter what happens or how awesome something is, its never good enough.
, i was all smiles to have PVD on an island in this beautiful weather and awesome people.
The best crowd i have seen. Everybody was smiling, friendly and courteous |
