def agree with Fran that Circus is most diverse, from Black Out to the trance nights and all music in between
Also agree with Jay re taking risks, you build a solid foundation then you can take those risks.
I liked what BeB did with booking Nic Fancuilli on the same bill as David Guetta back in 2006. Bring them in with the big draw but make them leave with the guy who will give a more lasting impression. Guetta was done with early enough that it didn't ruin my entire night and didn't effect the flow of music too much
I agree with ZeKsg somewhat that with the same 'type' of djs you do get the same stuff played more often than not. I must've recognized over half the tracks at BC yesterday but then again, I liked what the djs were doing with many of those played out tracks.
Cutting edge music is def more challenging to sell to the masses during summer and also if the ticket is above Piknic levels, etc. And at the end of the day the music has be able to move ones feet without one having to resort to mass consumption of candies :p |
