Lol

My brothers work for State Mercantile as debt collectors. Most of their accounts are scum-of-the-earth bogans who get like an $80 loan from Cash Converters, default on it, then it balloons to like $1000 over the years.

We were joking about "United States of America" popping up on their system :p

Yeah, who wants to tax the rich-whoops-I mean, the job creators anyway? You know, because the Bush tax cuts and no new taxes in the past 3 years have worked so well in creating new jobs in this country. Job creators need all the help they can get! :haha:

Congress IS making compromises... they started at the position of no debt limit increase whatsoever. Now they are at the point of saying, ok we'll raise it but we want dollar for dollar cuts and no tax raises- with a reform of the tax code.

Thats like negotiationg with someone holding a shotgun to your head and promissing to blow your brains out, and settling down on him just cutting off your tongue and gauging your eyes out with a rusty fork. Your situation has improved slightly, but it doesnt change the fact that a madman is hacking off bits of your body and watching you in pain for his own entertainment.

The republican madness has come so far that the dems are resorting to this guy, to try and talke some sense and rationality to the insane asylum party.

Yes thats the republican jesus saying dont with the debt ceiling.

without bush's tax cuts you wouldn't have even reached the current ceiling.

Let's have some fun with Democrat hypocrisy:

Obama, March 20th, 2006:

:stongue: :stongue: :stongue:

But wait, there's more! After the vote, same day:

Every single Democrat voted against raising the debt ceiling. Every one.

And here's your Senate majority leader Harry Reid scolding Bush for daring to have the gall to ask for a debt ceiling raise. He's the absolute worst:

bush and co couldn't balance the budget during good times, the situations are comparable but not the same.

Personally I hope we do not reach a deal. This will guarantee the Republicans will never hold a federal level office again.

Yea, I guess you are right, people would still vote for them, even after they entirely destroy the US economy and send us financially back to the stone-age.

No new taxes in the past 3 years? Really? LOL! I'll forgive the class warfare rhetoric because I know you don't know any better or any different. If companies are not hiring now, and you think levying additional taxes and regulations will spur them in the direction of growth, you're beyond help. Companies are not hiring because the climate of fear and uncertainty this inexperienced administration has put on businesses. It's as simple as that. They have no idea what's coming down the pike next week, next month, next year, etc. so they feel it's better to sit on the sidelines till the storm passes.
