Hi everyone, thought I would post in this forum as everyone knows what they are talking about here....

So two of us are coming over to NY from next Wednesday thru to Sunday for Swedish House Mafia. So we know what we are doing Friday, but still need some ideas for Thursday and Saturday night in NY.

It's the first time I've gone on a drinking holiday to NY so I have no clue about the nightlife here or where is good to go.

Let me know, it would be a great help!

Welcome!

im sure a lot of people will jump in to help you soon. i just want to let you know we have a event listening thread that shows most of the shows by date (shortcut events list )

How ever to make our help easier please give us more insights on what do you want to do, what kind of genres your into and/or anything else in NYC not EMD music related events that you might be looking to find :)

Thanks for that.

We're into quite a range of house music, from SHM to Sander Van Doorn to Ferry Corsten to Calvin Harris. Just think of the Creamfields UK line up this year and that's the best way to explain it I would think!

Ibiza has all it's pluses, but when I heard SHM were going to play MSG I had to go! Yea there a bit cheesy at times, but their energy is unlike anyone else I have seen before.

It is a serious drinking (and what ever else...) holiday though, just want to come to NY and go off the rails for a few days.

So some good bars would be good to know about, so many people say different things. We are staying in the Hudson due to the bar they have.

PS You will be able to spot me a mile off at MSG, we have front row in section 101 and we will be hanging a massive england flag down - WAVE!

Hey everybody,

I'm finally making my trek to NYC for the first time to sight-see and of course, do a little partying! My plan so far is to hit up Alan Fitzpatrick @ Sullivan Room on Fri, Jan 20th, Mind Control+The Junkies @ D36 on Sat, Jan 21st and Cielo on the following Monday.

Couple questions - what's good on Thursdays and/or Sundays that plays tribal (my fav), tech-house, techno, dnb, deep house or hard house/style? I wouldn't mind checking out a few more clubs if they come recommended. Also, does NYC have any after-after hours that run till around noon or later that people flock to after the regular after hours shut down? I heard Club Love shut down recently and am looking for something similar if it exists.

If anyone is planning on attending any of the parties I've mentioned, I'd love to meet up as I will be flying solo.

Thanks for your help!!

If you go to D36 instead of Laurent Garnier at BlkMarket, I'm going to suggest that Shelley, Frankie, Bobby, etc. all disown you.

This. If you really want to hit D36, do it on the earlier part of the night, but don't miss BlkMarket, it's a must-do when in NY. No one does warehouses like them.

Also hit Sleepy & Boo for the guestlist for Fitzpatrick ([email protected]), they hook it up with reduced entry :)
