How addicted/attached are you to your phone?

This goes beyond the old 'Blackberry Treatment' several year ago when people would give you the hand and tell you 'Let me just finish this message.'
I'm talking about the amount of times you look at your phone in a day, use social networking, read news, apps, send emails, SMS, MMS, BBM, siphon through emails, update calendar, change password and even calculate the tip on a bill.
I use the word addicted in the sense that you: have to check your phone for a message/notification while driving, not so much in stop traffic. Or even it often while waiting in line for lunch to be served even though you checked it already while waiting in line 2mins ago just to see if anything has changed.
I use the word attached because of all the apps, news and updates that we all love to check on current events. And the so called emails people have to send (yes there are us that do get many emails a day) but not the majority of us can have that excuse.
If you go out on lunch just look at peoples behaviours with their phones. Very interesting.
I myself do check my phone fairly often, but i have people at work or friends that after the notification light/sound goes off they rush to check it because they get their fix off of it.
Also, check at the end of dinner the amount of people at the table checking their phone... its like a MUST to check it!
Do any of you fall under any of these?
Check phone while driving
Message while waiting in lines while the cashier is waiting for you to pay attention?
Check your phone constantly for messages/notifications?
Don't mind eating alone because your eyes are glued to your phone? (You'll see a bad posture/slouch when this happens lol)
Do you need your phone on the dinner table when eating out? <-- Biggest dinner habit today!
Any other habits lol? |

why charge it if I never use it? I only need a cell phone for emergencies and usually my wife has her cell phone on her and if I'm out without her then I would just take hers. |

| I've done all of the above as well but trying to cut back. Especially while out with friends. I mean you're supposed to be SOCIAL not on your damned phone. |

| Fiddling with one's cell phone at the dinner table is just as bad as not using one's utensils correctly. Very poor manners. ing cretins. |
