How Many People Play Sports/Exercise On A Regular Basis?

Many of my colleagues, friends and family lack any sort of exercise in their daily lives. I am curious to find out how many people play sports/exercise on a daily/weekly basis either for fun or competitively?
Most people have very busy lives with work/school/family/friends so it can be quite difficult finding time to play any kind of sport. However, I also find that many people find every excuse in the world to refrain from any sort of exercise.
Are you one of those people who find excuses to not exercise, or do you simply not care? Are you addicted to weekly clubbing and feel that your nights out dancing are more than sufficient? Do you have a hard time finding people to play sports with or do you just have a hard time stomaching the idea of going to a gym filled with juice monkeys? |

I lift weights 4 times a week, bike almost every day, and play beach volleyball once a week. I used to run and swim a lot more last summer, but work/studies have taken up a lot of time this year.
No matter how busy I get, I always try to get exercise at least 3-4 times per week. Even if that means I have to wake up at 5am, and it's the only thing I do during the day besides work. I'm the type of person where I need exercise to de-stress me or I get really wound up/tense and start feeling like garbage. The pain of that far outweighs the 5am wake-up calls. |

Sports: no.
Exercise: 'erryday.
And exercise doesn't have to involve any of the "gym filled with juice monkeys" at all, nor does it have to interfere with a busy schedule. Just walk or bike places, lift some weights at home, party hard. Works fine for me. |

| Before my health problems started I was weight-training regularly (two days on, one day off) and eating very well. I will absolutely return to the gym life once things start improving for me :) |

| I've been on a pretty strict regimen of running/sprinting every other day. For the longest time I was going through life comfortable with the shape I was in. A few months ago, a switch went off. It was time to get in shape, I decided. I've been at it since. Along with this, I've also adjusted my eating patterns. I've never felt better. My back pains are gone, my posture is far better than it was a few months ago, and I've seen improvements in my attitude as well. |

| I run, swim, go for walks + hikes, and lift weights 2-3 times a week. I can't NOT do something - I enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle. More energy, eat better, feel better, sleep better, etc. |

I'm lucky enough to have a membership at my uni... sure the RAC sucks some times, but usually a court is open for some squash or basketball.
I've played bball all my life, so it definitely relieves a TON of stress when I play. I can play by myself, or with some of the people there already shooting a ball around. Depends how I'm feeling - sometimes I just want a proper workout so I drill myself like a practice if I've got the entire gym (usually only happens at the odd hours). Other times the odd 3on3 are super fun, and if you have non-lazy teammates/opponents very intensive. I like pushing myself too when I play, so usually I'm a heap of sweat after an hour orso :p
Lately though, I've been neglecting my diet+exercising. Once classes start again however I'll be back at it. That's ALWAYS the case for me :happy2: |

Ride bikes.
Raced mountain bikes for 10 years, got to the national level then burned out.
Now I commute to work Guelph-Waterloo on bike as well as do lots of core and upper body stuff.
I cant imagine going more than a few days without some sort of physical activity. |
