Good for Z103 and good for all the trance lovers...You all know that you'd never hear trance on the radio during day time or anytime Unless it is 100.7.

Ja Rule - i don't want Trance to get mainstream, lets keep it the way it is. I don't want ppl to say that they like Trance and then as an example list ALice Deejay, Darude and PvD! Thats just absurd. "

I dont care who listens to trance, I LOVE IT, and I wish it was mainstream , trance is for everyone,HEAR IT, FEEL IT, LOVE IT.
What is absurd to ME is that some people consider trance to be their little secret and other people are "not worthy" to enjoy it. Attitude like this keeps it underground.

Desidel, your post actually makes sense.

hrmmz.. but if trance doesn't go mainstream here then we'll never get those mega parties like they do in Europe.. atleast i don't think so, trance has to reach an audience of great proportions before the government will ever take notice or have tolerance for those kinda events..

basically asking for underground trance and hugeass parties is like trying to take the best of two worlds ! unfortunately North American society does not budge to it ..

and i think i've heard WE are a live on 103.5 quite a while ago, i'm pretty sure atleast..

north american society is not one to have parties like Europe, its a different culture, therefore its a different scene

Good for Z103....I cant understand why you wouldnt want to hear your fav music on the radio....makes no sense.
So what if Bruno the Gino likes it too......I'm sure you like Spaghetti!

As for me, I listen to the live stream from BBC radio 1. Now thats a radio station.

AMMM is that a HARD question if it's GOOD or bad?

WELL DUH it's good.. means that THE chezze station is playing gooo stuff and will be maybe the one and only station taht will let us have some GOOD muzik.. for once..

LOL! Who listens to radio anyway! The only time I listen to it, is when I listen to recorded sets and a few stations on line! But toronto radio simply sucks a big fat one! But the irony here is that I want to go into Radio Broadcasting next year, just cause I want to be a DJ that at least plays decent stuff on the Radio, and maybe than there will be a new radio revival amongst us TA's!;)

Well, let me explain my self better, since most of you got the idea that I WANT Trance to stay underground.

Myself, I've been to "gino" clubs, and people are definitely not there for the music. The crowd there is very different from the "rave" type crowd and is much more aggressive. I feel as that they go to those clubs only because they think its "cool" since the club they are at is being broadcasted LIVE on z103.5

Now, if they hear actual Trance music on z103, or find out that z103 is hosting Armin Van Buuren @ the Guv, relying on the same mentality as before they will attend that event. Why? Because z103 is hosting it!

I, for one, want Trance to become much more populat than it is now but don't want it to become mainstream for the reasons above.

Sorry if my post didn't make much sense, I just got up

It is waaaaaaaaaaaaay different man:haha: Let me ask you this

I do agree about trance not going mainstream is good. The last thing I want is some ginos @ system soundbar standing in front of me while I am dancing. The reason I go to places like GUv and sytsems is casue there are no Ginos there with their 15 y/o g/f with fake IDs.

I don't wnat that at the clubs I go to. Occasionally I don;t mind the cheese cause my mind is numbed with alcohol but for the most. I no longer attend Gino clubs cause my "friends" want to. IS tay at home. Iwould rather stay at home then waste my money at them. So I don't want to waste my money at systems cause Ginos have ocupied it.:tongue3

serious .. but still i juss wonder sometimes cuz there are a lotta ppl here who always complain that they don't want Trance to go mainstream but at the same time they also complain that we don't get those mega parties like they do overseas..

i just don't think it's possible to have both espcially somewhere like here! Here's the thing.. i only think that we can get these mega parties if more companies like B&H, Smirnoff, and Nokia sponsor them more often and with greater funding.. the prob is that the music has to get REAL popular for that to happen. And the only way thatz gonna happen is with commercial radio. (again not that i'm saying i wanna hear trance on 103.5 but juss trying to make a point).

One thing i've also found out is that commercial radio in Europe that play trance don't play it 100% either. they also put some of the crap on that we get yet trance holds the same level as a lotta other stuff there too ..

and one thing i really don't get is this... do gino's only exist in Toronto ?? cuz i'm sure there are a lotta cocky Italians/Europeans, etc. in other parts of N. America but are they in Europe as well?? cuz thatz pretty astonishing to have an entire continent with mainstream trance with mega parties with NO GINOS in attendance ??

Anyhow, i think that the popularity of trance into the mainstream is inevitable.. atleast if not here than in the United States. And if they end up gettin these mega parties before we do, then we'll come to regret it. If i remember correctly they almost had Creamfields USA last year but cuz of poor ticket sales it got canned.. i say give it another 2-3 years.

you're right, I'm usre Ginos exist in their homeland (europe), and guys walking around with their shirts off.....

it would be amazing for Cream and Gatecrasher to start coming down here, the scene is evolving year by year....and you never know

but I also agree with E*Master.......i love Systems and Tonic for its crowd.....and I would prefer to party without them....I haven't gone to a "regular" club in over a year now and I don't miss it because the atmosphere is completely differnt....I just dont want trance clubs to become like any other club!

hmm well look at it this way
trance is mainstream in parts of Europe, so are the gino's (or any unwanted crowd) ruining the scene there?
I have never been there, but I can safely say no :)

exactly .. so i think that if the scene here got as big as it is over there.. (commercial) but with the priviledge of having megaparties with huge lineups .. i personally don't think that there are enuff ginos to make us have a ty time.. plus we'll all be out there in bigger numbers and in full force..

Can we thank our true trance addict friend Chris C for this? I think
he is the one who said he will "change" the radio station. Well, I
guess we will have to get used to it. Trance is already mainstream
in the UK, Holland, Germany and Europe in general. That's why we
have love parade, mayday, innercity, gatecrashes, etc, etc.

Canada and US are behind, but looks like their catching up. UK,
Germany, Europe overall has their culture, their european traditions
and their radio is alot different. Different in a sense - BETTER!.
So trance on the radio in UK, yah it's everyday bread, and it
actualy "works". Even the "euro" music it self in Europe works.
It does not have this gaaaaayness assosiated with it. I think the
problem here is that it just does not fit the "american" way. We had
it underground for sooo long due to these reasons, but now that it's
so known all around the world, it goes mainstream here.

So for those who want massive parties. If they gonna be sponsored
by 103.5 don't be suprised when you hear a pizza pizza comericial
right before the crazy base drop in PVDs' track and get used to
sayings such as:
"Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard about PVD"
