It kills you, cuz ITS MURDER! lol. lame, couldn't help it.

anyways, sorry to burst your bubble, but beats are beats, and u can be listening to house, trance, freestyle, or eurohits 2000, the outside non-listener will consider it gino beats regardless.
trust me, I was playing trance at a school function, and the girl came up and said "can we get some reggae now? you've been playing gino-beats for the past hour"

So, u can forget about saving your image, to the outside person, its all the same anyways.

i know you guys are going to kill me for this but... what's wrong with the shirts off at a party thing? i know its kinda nasty to bump into someone who's all sweaty and stuff, but if you're just dancing and not walking all around the place, its not that bad. it gets too hot! and plus with your shirt off, you're less likely to be sweating cuz its cooler. do you guys think its a no-no for tanktops too??

not if everyone keeps busting down trance in the mainstream. there's not gonna be an id&t if only "underground" people on trance forums listen to the music.

You will neeeeeeever see that in Canada.
CRTC wants 38.5% Canadian content, and name me a hand full of Canadian Trance trax.

umm i hate to break it to you all.... none of you are underground :)

is it "i'm smarter than thou because i listen to trance and you listen to Jay-Z and Eminem", or "trance is too sacred you mortals ain't worthy of polluting it"?

i don't mind if "We Are Alive" is only a start, and followed by the likes of Lost Witness, Push, and Way Out West, it's even great if z103.5 starts educating the public with good trance. don't you want trance to surpass drum & bass (or whatever) and become the biggest underground scene in canada? remember that the public is slow in adapting new stuff, you just can't shove Sander Kleinenberg or Armin van Buuren down their throat when they're content with Darude and Lasgo, so give them time. once they've heard enough good stuff, they'll be able to tell between the cheese music and the real thing.

if u want to hear trance on the radio make a brand new station for it.

to be fair, z103.5 only says it plays dance music. it never claimed to be a trance radio station. no commercial radio can afford to play strictly trance 24/7, i'm afraid. even for England where trance and progressive are huge, they aren't the only thing on BBC radio 1. but i don't see why can't we have a nightly 3-hour trance programme on z103.5.

north american society is not one to have parties like Europe, its a different culture, therefore its a different scene

that we ought to put up with 2 guitars and a drum set, and a big sweaty guy growling in front of the mic?

What a paradox. Ppl complain that z103 play music, why don't they ever play any good music!

Then when they do play "good" music, ppl complain that z103 should stick to the music, and keep the "good" music off the air, cuz it has to stay elite.

How is it gonna improve if tehy don't play trance then? :conf:

my point exactly bro!!

listen to the man. thanx Chris C for reminding us how canadian radio stations work. and Chris, to answer your question, Max Graham and Delerium are all i could think of, even tho Delerium don't make trance themselves. Plastikman, maybe? that's techno but Tiesto has mixed it into his set.

P.S. i don't listen to radios at all, except my own show on shoutcast :D

Actually, you can sometimes hear trance sets (good stuff too, a few hours long) sometimes on 100.7 late at night. A few years ago (don't know about now) they used to broadcast live the stream from 1groove.com.
z103 is 100% PURE commercialism. Until you start making toronto listeners go from hip-hop to trance, they they wont take any chances with the real stuff, and will only occasionally play eurodance/weak-trance. Some of the highschoolers like to hear some "gino beats" every once in a while, and the execs over there make it so.
The faithful z103 listeners probably think that dance music was the first to start using the trance-style synth lines. HAHAHAHA

whoops, guess you guys already know about 100.7, didnt see that kidlax post
