Yes we still have to take all those factors into account. Might have to go with a smaller more upcoming name. |
thats what i was thinking. starting smaller with some up and comers to get your foot in the door might not be a bad idea. good luck! |

I had an idea of about 25k for Afro because I heard somewhere that Avicii was about 20 a show. Don't know how concrete the figure are or how reliable the info was.
We are trying through SC now.
Thanks for the info guys! |
seems like a lot for afrojack, especially if it will wind up getting shut down early and then you have to refund everyone. isnt that what happened with music box show last month? |

not sure how many people music box fits, but paying $50 a ticket for say 1000 attendees is already $50,000. half of the ticket sales = $25,000, do you think he gets more than that? headliner making half the ticket sales for a club event seems justified.
do you ask for a percentage of the ticket sales/cover when you headline in mexico?(which you mentioned in the the local vs headliner thread i made) |

No I have a rate I charge promoters, I don't care how many/little tickets they sell.
I think paying 20k-25k for ANY DJ(especially those herbs) is ing insane though. |

Yea cuz there's 3 of them.
Some of these DJ's can bank in over a million dollars for the club, so actually these fees would not be considered outlandish. However, to most normal people, it just seems crazy how they can earn 10x a person's annual salary with just a 2 to 3 hour performance. |

Yes, it's insane. I completely agree. But you also gotta remember that the bigger you get, the bigger the overhead. If you're as big as they are, you're no longer simply DJ BAS. Now you're DJ BAS the brand, the business and all of the sudden you have people counting on you to feed their families. You can't be as big as them without a team of people working for you. You have your publicist, manager, tour manager, ghost producers, promoters, office personnel, etc working for you. On top of that, you also gotta pay for publishing your own work, payola, etc. It's expensive to become a big DJ. |

Add another $120,000 to that and you can book KISS with full production. |
