No chance. I'm not stirring that one up again.

All I'll say, is that the person in question, arguably wrote one of the biggest trance tracks in history (albeit commercial and fairly cheesey one) and is still a fairly big name name.

I understand him defending his name, but it became plainly clear he was an avid lurker, and as far as I'd seen both before and since the event, he's never sharing anything of use on here, only jumping in when someone tarnished his name. It's no big deal as such, just a bit of a sad realisation that people with some really useful knowledge, who could help don't want to but they're more than happy to just use this place to protect their business interests.

If anybody's interested, here are previews of the songs that Thomas mastered for me a few months ago. He used the stem mastering approach on all three of them.

Unfortunately, it's Soundcloud quality, so the mastering job is less evident due to their terrible compression, but there you go.

Love this space and wideness in this/those tracks, no clashes between different instruments sounds????? - nice work, I might use his services!

Cheers and thank you Dave,

Could you post one of the songs before the mastering job? I'm curious to know what the difference is.

That would be the ideal way of hearing the difference. However, since it was mastered using the stem approach, the mix sounds a bit different (mostly in terms of balance between the parts) than the original does. And, since this song was just released, I'm not too keen on putting earlier versions out there on the web.
