I don't know, I kinda loved it, reminded me of the odd places where some promoters in NY have parties. Freedom to do as you please is a big plus. Last year a friend was a vegetable for an hour in a corner and no one bothered with the sight of him one bit, lol. My favourite venue was def Bert's where the nightsneak party with Dave Clarke was though, it was just like a blkmarket party :D The nightsneak ppl needed to get their together though, I waited about 40 mins for them to figure out their will call list and bracelet situation while I had to dodge some shady characters having a fight. |

yea that Nightsneak party was my fav party last year...
i did enjoy Loco Dice vs Stacey Pullen on the boat too...
Umek was decent... but Dave Clarke ripped it up and kept me there til just about close... we left at 530...
we walked in at 1am to Berts... and got in without even waiting in line... Roni Size was on, i coulda done without him... |

There was a lot of hype over Roni Size, the guy hasn't been around in forever. But I didn't see how that addition to the lineup made any sense (plus I don't really care much for his style). A lot of ppl were upset it was so disorganised, esp ppl doing press for the weekend because they wanted to see Roni (who didn't go on until much later than he was supposed to) and had to go elsewhere to do their job. Umek was very underwhelming, I heard he was in a bad mood cos things weren't working the way they were supposed to. But Dave Clarke was def the best set I heard outside the festival :eyes: I left around 5.30 as well cos it was just so unbearably hot, oof. The place was so big, putting in there a few fans would not have alleviated the situation at all. |

| Extended the hotel to include Friday and flying out in the afternoon. Saturday flights are getting absurdly priced. If you've been lounging on a flight, you might want to lock those down. |

For those of you still without a hotel reservation, there are still rooms @ the Inn on Ferry Street for $120 (3 stars- heard it's pretty good and it has a free shuttle that takes you anywhere in a 3-mi radius or something like that) and the Motorcity Casino Hotel still has rooms for $140.
Get your reservations in ASAP, I doubt these will last. |
