DEMF 2012! (pg. 25)

Hey everybody. I am not able to read through all 13242134 posts for this thread so there may already be an answer to my question.

I'm heading up there this year for the first time (Staying at Motor City Casino) and am trying to find a website/link that will work as a one stop shop for afterhour party listings. The link www.movementafterparties.com is not working.

The only party I've seen so far is the Dirty one with VonStroke (which I will not miss BTW) etc... With after-hours parties being just as famous (if not more) than the music fest itself I'm really looking forward to them but want to make sure I'm aware of all my choices etc..

I'm going to try and remember to check back in this thread but if somebody could shoot me a PM or maybe even contact me on FB (Josh Wickham Gainesville FL) with some links or places I will be very much in debt to you. I'd really like to attend some afterhours that have been going on every year and are a 'must do' type of event but also really want to go to the dirty underground ones!!

As I said its my first time going to Detroit for DEMF. It would be awesome to get up with some fellow TA peeps or whatever.

Thanks and I'm really looking forward to your responses and seeing everybody up there!

Check the first post, it will be edited as afterparties are announced. I'm on top of things and online all the time so this will prob be one of the first places you'll find all the info. Make sure you also check the last couple of pages of the thread for posts with any new info, since I don't have the time to update the first post every day.

No offense, but, honestly, if you really are interested at all in going to Detroit and want to plan your trip accordingly, just make the effort dude, you're being lazy and to expect ppl to do for you and magically receive it in your inbox is ridiculous. I, for example, am doing you all a service keeping the thread and making a guide because I like to do it; even though I got a million things to do like pack all my and move to a new place, I still find the time for this, surely you can make it a point to check back. This is probably the easiest reference for all since I keep everything organised, and if it's still too much for you to deal with, you're just doing it wrong.

Lol. I'm not lazy but in this specific situation I was assuming somebody would do what you're talking about and post most everything in one spot. I didn't properly communicate, I was hoping somebody would send me a link to a page like what you're directing me to, not keep me updated for each party lol.

I also had a hard time finding this thread for some reason and was concerned I wasn't going to come across it again.

Thanks so much for what you wrote. its going to help alot and I'll continue to get on TA for upcoming info etc... I had no Idea James Z. was going to be there. I already have the Saturday night (dirty bird) and the Sunday night (James Z.) locked in as of about 30 seconds ago!!

Really looking forward to coming up there. I'll keep my eyes open for TA meet ups so I can put some faces to names.

Is there any one (or two) parties that have been going on every year and are one of those 'must attend' events such as Richie ?? I haven't seen him on any line-ups for this year :(

thanks again everybody! Love and respect.
Chaska
No prob, I'm glad to help, but ppl also have to help themselves :)

Word of advice: don't jump on those 2 afterparties just yet, I'm sure a LOT more afterparties are going to be announced and you're going to regret acting so quick.

Also, I'm putting a survival guide together on a blog, make sure you bookmark it and check back :)

I've never seen VonStroke although I've been rockin his tracks since before DirtyBird was popular... I can't miss that one!! :)

I can't wait to see all the line-ups/parties going on. I haven't been this excited about doing a music-vacation in I don't know how long!! If I could line up some gigs for myself up there I'd pee my pants out of excitement. I will check the blog, thanks for the link(s). !
