How was your 2011?

I had a pretty good year. I lost weight, broke up with my shady girlfriend, got the best puppy in the world, finished my masters degree, got an awesome job, got a new car, got an apartment, gained some weight, and I made 10 cool mixes that I'm very proud of. Let's hope 2012 is just as good, if not better! :D

Predominantly ty, like the last six years before it. Had a couple cool and memorable parts in it, but yeah, mostly crap. Doubt that 2012 will be much different, though it definitely has a higher potential for pain.

It was ok. The late winter and spring were very dark in terms of weather and I am pretty sure I got SAD for the first time ever (it was just that oppressive here).
I went to Japan. That was cool. Made me sad though coming back here, even if it was only for 10 days there it really showed how much better an organized and intelligent country can be. |

Hmm my 2011 looks like this
finally recovered from my knee injury
Went back to work full time
Had a Cancer scare
cancer scare turned into another surgery scare
after a month of tests found out I was going to be okay but had to quit smoking
Traveled throughout Europe for almost 2 months
Quit Smoking
Became the supervisor within a short 6 months at my new job
Sold more real estate then any other year in my real estate career
Was offered a Job in Rome which I declined
Accepted back into University
Went dead broke but within 3 months got my finances back to +30 g's
2011 was a good year for me which i needed because i had 2 lousy years before that had left me a cripple
Things to look forward to in 2012:
More school
new apartment
my return to sports
Buying a new business
More traveling
maybe just maybe I might settle down if the right girl comes along |

2011 brought the birth of my second child... other than the sleep deprivation that in and of itself made this a fantastic year.
I'm really looking forward to the end of the world in December 2012 |

* Girlfriend left me after 2.5 years of living together. All I was left with was a three line email.
* Got operated a third time for my cyst.
* Started third year of university.
* Moved to a new apartment.
* Decided to go into psychiatry once university if finished.
* Bought a new phone.
* Made some new friends.
* Saw two people die (RIP).
* Discovered the magic of tequila.
* Contemplated becoming a Buddhist.
* Left a forum on which I had been a member for 6 years. |

got back together with my ex
got laid off
found a new job
moved downtown
dad had a heart attack :( (he's doing awesome now)
visited family
broke up with my ex for good
quit my job
broke my lease and drove all my from TX to MA
moved to france
mourned a friend who passed
celebrated my first christmas without my family
integrating myself into my host family's lives
i put up with a lot of crap and ended up growing and maturing a lot. not many people would have the balls to just follow their dreams like i have, and i'm pretty damn proud of myself. 2012 i'm hoping to make some great memories with this family and get into graduate school. living the single life in paris studying my passion... couldn't get much better than that! |

Long and complicated story. Everything was ok, we woke up that morning in the same bed, talked, kissed her goodbye.
Come back at 8 pm from university, her suitcase is gone as long with some of her clothes and laptop.
Next day I get an email saying she left back home. Haven't heard from her since. |
