Either way i'm happy for super Mario, Jupp and yes, even Robben.

Ps. That was an awesome final.

Transfer window closing in two weeks and there have already been some absolutely massive transfers. It looks like more could be on the way.

Bundesliga & Ligue 1 are already up and running.

EPL & La Liga are back tomorrow.

Serie A is back next week.

World Cup Qualifiers again in a couple of weeks.

Champions League is back within a month's time.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMN.

Good time to be a footy fan.

:D

Loving Laba so far @ TFC, kid is a beast in this league. Urruti finally locked up apparently, transfer certificate on the way. Nice to see some good, young players coming in.

My main following is Bundesliga 2, which had an incredibly short off season this year and has already been kicking for a month or so. Love footy season, best time of the year imo.

Why Bundesliga 2 when the quality of the game in the top flight Bundesliga is so bloody good? Do you follow a small time team of some sort - or are you a FC Köln fan?

You've got some dreaming going on there. I'm guessing someone is from East Berlin or has relatives from there?

No one in Berlin that I know of cheers for them. They're all Hertha BSC (who are pretty often too) or Bayern fans. Haha.

Yup relatives. Don't kill the dream lol! We were flirting with 3rd for a bit last season, before slumping towards the end. Off to a decent start this year. The Bundesliga is basically a pipe dream, as long as Union stay out of the lower Regionalligas I'll be happy lol.

Yeah Hertha gets the bulk of the Berlin support for sure, they're constantly in the Bundesliga and I think they do pretty for themselves (financially), they definitely advertise themselves everywhere they possibly can. Union are certainly much smaller and their support is pretty much isolated to the outer eastern boroughs.

Union are a commie-created club. ;)

Hertha aren't that great. They go up and down the top flight quite frequently. I know quite a people who enjoy poking fun of Hertha fans. ;)

Real men support Bayern anyway. :p

Pffft, Union are about as anti-Commie as you can get, for a team based in the DDR anyways lol. Our big rivalry was always Dynamo Berlin, who had stasi backing, and anti government protest songs were always sung on the terraces towards them.

I wish the Union/Hertha had a big rivalry, but with the wall and playing in different leagues for so many decades, it's nothing special really.

You're right though, EVERYONE is Bayern supporter in Germany it seems. Except in Dortmund lol.

No way, it's too easy to cheer for them. It's like cheering for the Yankees.

I have rooted for them in the past but only because they have always seem to have Croats playing for them (and I like seeing our guys do well). Besides that though I could care less about them.

Actually, it's not really. They're just a really well-run club that happens to be owned by the community.

The Yankees are owned by one man. We (Bayern) are not just one man running the show like Chelsea or Man City.

Bayern are an obvious choice for some with their more recent success, but there has always been strong competition in the Bundesliga and tends to be more parity in between teams.
