Pascal: Nick Warren is definitely not past his prime. The guy is not young, yes, but he still tours the world and plays in front of thousands of people and is a dear favorite of many. He has also been playing back to back with Hernan Cattaneo on a regular basis as of late. If anything I would say that Nick Warren has been more consistent than Sasha. He was also commissioned for a Balance compilation just last year, and from a solo production standpoint, he is doing more now than he ever did.

Trust me that any hype related to Warren has nothing to do with him not having played here in 4 years and everything to do with what he has been doing everywhere else in the last year. This is a scene I happen to follow a lot since I play this type of music and trust me Warren is still one of the biggest and most in-demand names around.

This.
To me, Nick is probably the most consistent dj out there
Every live set, and radio show is gold.

me then Adam...arrrrghh

CANNOT AFFORD TO BE DISSAPOINTED you hear me lol

Does Warren known about the magical realm of Stereo and Montreal and how we like it dirty and can party until noon??? You know what I mean? So many DJs from Europe come here and fail miserably cause they don't understand what WE like and how WE do things here. They play a softy set for a couple hours and decide to bang it towards the end... I've seen this so many times in this city. Not that I like it banging for 5 hours... it's just hard to understand for some DJs the reality of this city: bars close at 3 then we make the commitment to go out AGAIN so we expect to get blown away and stay out for at least 4-5 more hours. Sometimes it takes them 3-4 bookings to really get it.

Sorry for the rant here I'm sure you understand my (weak) point.

Even tho Sasha is my fav dj, I'd rather go see Nick Warren. Just to hear a diff sound and that guy is such a pioneer of electronic music. It'll be a much bigger event imo.

not weak at all, very well illustrated actually. If one wants to sleep you go to Ottawa or Toronto.

It's gotta be 'ard in Montreal (french accent)

I hear you, wanted to hear Sasha play this old classic at Stereo, it would have put the place into another dimension, lol:

Big Ups to Stereo and their booking staff(maher & ostrich?) for bringing sasha, nick warren and guy j as well.

Like the other older guys here i'll probably only go to one event, im thinking nick warren since it will be years until hes around again, and he has a great sound.

Was planning on going down to watch w&w and raneem at circus on the same night - i wonder if i can combine best of both worlds and go to both without too much overlap....

How can you even compare W&W with Nick Warren?
They play at Circus twice a year, last time Nick played here was 5 years ago.

I am listening to your BRILLIANT Soundgarden mix Dec 2011 available at soundcloud. Its as if Zeus came down from Acropolis, possessed your body and made a mix! Now, how in the world can we get a copy of this so that we listen to it on our mp3 devices?!? If this only was available as super high quality for real stereo systems... Pinch me, I am dreaming now. I can always wait to get your next CD though. A thousand thanks for making this available to us mortals! Cheers from Boston
