Is it actually true the 1200s are now out of production, forever?

Well, kinda... the MKII are no longer made, but they just released the M3D which is the same unit as the MKII, but some new features.

Also, on the topic, I'm really really on the fence and thinking about grabbing this.

Pioneer CDJ functionality and familiarity, but simplicity of an all in one unit.

Still can use the pitch, mixer similar to other DJMs and the jog wheels and layout is great if you're a CDJ user.

The review looks very solid... I really want to get one, just trying to justify the price considering it really will just be a toy for me, would I use it enough or just a bunch in the first few months then it will sit there. It's not like I'm going to take it out to play or anything, just for ing around and making some mixes at home.

Huh? The M3D isn't new - it first entered production in 1997.

Technics has stopped production on all 1200 series models, and to be more specific, on *all* analogue turntables.

You are correct, my fault, 100%. I googled way too quickly to find an article I could have sworn I read last year.

Found it now, and again you're correct, not an analogue. It was a similar but digital model.

You can stuff your sorries in a sack, mr.
mnemonic.
Sort of on topic. I want to vent about those jog wheels that appear on so many controllers. Why do those even exist... they just take up acres of room.
