Unfortunately, can't make it this year :(

I have two, 3 day GA passes with ferry. Just trying to get my money back so face value on the tickets. PM me if you're interested. $300 each. Thanks!

I'm not seeing nearly the amount of PR and marketing by MADE on this event like last year. There just doesn't seem to be that anticipation factor (for lack of better words) like years prior.

I agree. I know the lineup this year isn't like the previous year for a 3 day festival but what could be the reason? Is MADE getting lazy?

i don't know much about how this business works but..

..it must've hurt to see EDC come in and sell out the entire meadowlands a week after they announced the party. aside from the fact that they took a lot of their DJs (armin, cox, etc). owww :nervous:

I've been lurking this thread and wanted to share some thoughts...

-compared to last year's this lineup really is lackluster. But it kind of shows the demographic that Made is trying to appeal to. Not hardcore EDM fans (I'm really starting to hate the term EDM now)...but the kiddies/tweens/bros (hence the amount of Electro House and Dubstep acts in the lineup).

-The majority of the headliners on Sunday were pretty much all in one tent in 2010.

-Seriously...DJ Bl3nd is on this lineup? Get him the out of here! I've never heard anyone over the age of 17 talk about this guy. (BTW, if you want a laugh check out videos of him on youtube)

-It seems like Insomniac is trying to muscle into the Tri-State area hardcore.

With that said, I'm still going.

Funny...I can't escape #EZoo2012 talk on twitter. Even Vibe Magazine (yes, Vibe Magazine) was talking about electric Zoo on their twitter.

I can see where you're coming from though. Last year there really was a massive promotional push for this. It doesn't seem the same this year. But, honestly, people will be going to this nonetheless and it will most likely sell out...so does Made really need to promote this heavily?

That says alot though...

when will you all realize that any FESTIVAL that decides to COME TO NY/TRI-STATE area are only doing so because of the money.

If you want to visit a FESTIVAL for it's legacy, then travel to them. Going to Randall's Island for 'ULTRA' is not going to South Beach for 'ULTRA'

Once the event catches on it really promotes itself through word of mouth.

Very true.

Electric Zoo IMO was shaping up to be something unique...now it's just turning into every other EDM festival in this country. For those that can't afford to make it across the pond or whatever for the great festivals there...stuff like this is a nice alternative. Kind of sucks to see it go down this route. I guess this is why I've always considered DEMF/Movement to be the best festival in the US as far as everything electronic is concerned. Great lineup from international acts that rarely travel to the US, locals, up and comers, established acts, etc.

I'll probably just have to save up money to check out some other festivals in Europe and elsewhere. In the end, I'll say the lineup for this year is good in some aspects and wish it could be better than others just to not sound like another butthurt complainer on a messageboard.

Carry on...
