I'm going to hold off on saying anything regarding the tracks that Joel and I created together under the advise of my legal counsel, but as soon as I am able, I will make a full statement regarding this. I am not one to create drama nor invite this kind of negative energy, but for all of Joel's comments on this over the past 5 years I do feel as though I need to now say my side of the story. I'll try to be diligent with getting back on this board with the full statement hopefully by this coming week and I will as well make the statement publicly available on all of my websites. Hope everyone has a good weekend and speak soon.
Best,
Glenn | I don't think you mad that Track! :(Makes me mad! :( I was a fan, now I am MORE of a deadmau5 fan boy! :)

I'm not sure you need to respond. Maybe others might feel the need for a response though, or maybe it's just you. I think we're fine with the idea here. It would be unfortunate if things get out of hand. But you may feel it's gotten that far already.
Just wanted to put in a few good words by saying I really enjoyed your performance 2 years ago at the ADE on the night with Remy and Jerome-Isma-Ae. You were singlehandedley the one that made the night for me even though I initially came to see the other mentioned two. :) |

| Hi everyone, I'm sorry for the delay on this. I've been working very recently with IMAX doing film scoring for 70mm film print compilations and as well I just got back from my South American tour in Brazil. I'm so overwhelmed with work it's insane and my response to this thread took a backseat as I hope you can understand. Joel and I produced around 7 records around 2007 together and with my classical piano background juxtaposed with his production background it made for a terrific combo. I received up to my ARCT at the Royal Conservatory of Music and was competing all over Canada in classical piano, specializing in performing pieces by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Bach and Mozart as well as having all of my theory levels, so for me harmony, counterpoint, analysis etc. were of second nature. When I met Joel he was just finishing up working for FL Studio in I believe Belgium and was an accomplished engineer in his own right. The records we made together were a huge success and as was mentioned in the credits, I was the writer and composer, he was the engineer. You can find the actual vinyl somewhere I'm sure today (both on Mau5trap with 'Contact' and 'Hydrology' and Armada with 'No Sudden Moves' and 'Circles'). I've always spoke highly of Joel over the years when people ask me how he is, or why we stopped working together (to which I said politely that we were both busy doing our own things etc.). I started hearing about Joel's comments slowly through friends and the internet and nothing surprised me. He is a case in point example of what is called an idiot savant - brilliant in some ways, and challenged in others. A true case of someone who has all of the trappings of success in the world but yet a pathetic character in reality. He passes along the internet making fun of everyone and everything that he feels needs attention, only highlighting the large insecurities that cloud over his life. It's weird you know because Joel was a good friend at the time, and he helped me learn a lot of production tricks in the time we hung out. He would come over to my parents place (I was still in university at the time living at home) and help build me a computer and just do normal stuff. We were friends, and then over time, it slowly eroded away when he tried to take 100% of the publishing rights on the records we wrote together. To this day those royalties are frozen as my lawyers and his lawyers came to a standstill. As well, we did a remix of 'Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger' which his management company released on vinyl (to which I have all of the paperwork saying we would split 50/50 on the profits). I have not seen a penny of that to this day and I was told they sold many copies. I've always tried my best to take the higher ground morally speaking with all of this but it's about time that I let the record show it for what it is. All I lost in this arrangement was money. Money has not nor will it ever buy me happiness and I am blessed to have such a great team around me in my work, as well as my personal life. I'm very grateful for this and I get to do what I love for a living which is amazing. I wish him the best in all of his endeavours but more than anything else, I hope he finds some sense of happiness in his life because at this rate he's going to wind up being on his deathbed with no one around who truly cares about him. It's a really sad situation more than anything else. I hope that this story paints a clearer picture for you and by no means am I trying to instigate anything here, but rather to share my story that he so unjustly tries to mock. I have been performing as a classical pianist and musician since I was around 4 years old and take great pride in what I do professionally. I as well work with dignity and do my very best everyday to try and make a positive difference in people's lives (both in my work environment and off). I wish him the very best with everything in his life. |

few things
Deadmau5 claimed a track you took credit for was actually his work but never bothered to claim royalties. Rather strange how your music from this era sounds 100% like Deadmau5. Seems the issue he is making is that he actually gave you tracks which to any idiot sound like his work. You are claiming he didn't give you credit. So you haven't really addressed his accusation in any way. You kinda side stepped it with some bull royal conservatory talk. About that bull.
an arct is kinda a joke. Most people with one that apply to university programs in performance don't get in. Mostly due to the fact that the program caters to the lowest common denominator and any teacher will deviate from that program because it is flawed to say the least. Their advanced harmony barely covers an equivalent intro to harmony.Your little claim about specializing. There are maybe 20 pianists on the planet that would claim to specialize in the 3 eras of music you listed along with the composers of which have made the most challenging works for piano. I guess i kinda chuckled when you claimed to know about music by stating you have an arct. I mean even if you had the skill and no formation, why the would you mention an accreditation that everyone knows is a joke ?
Seems like Joel made the music while you used your cunning arct theory secrets to root out the unresolved leading tones. And considering the fact the tracks don't have a melody that one could even consider something you could copyright, you have no leg to stand on as to who gets what. Also consider the fact that Deadmau5 has continued to make music along the same path yet changing while you seem to have no actual personal aesthetic or sound which sort of undermines your claim as well.
But really, You also seem like the kinda guy that wets his bed. And the you did for Imax. Well me that was bad. I mean it is worse than those ing production houses that specialize in trailer music. I mean it was brutal. And you sort of distort the fact that the work you did happened to be shown on an imax system. You aren't in any way affiliated with imax. At a ing comicon festival. And that makes you a fanny bandit. |

Looney 4 Clooney - you sound like a complete idiot dude. let me address your points -
"Deadmau5 claimed a track you took credit for was actually his work but never bothered to claim royalties. Rather strange how your music from this era sounds 100% like Deadmau5. As I said in my earlier post, we wrote the tracks completely together. I played the riffs, chords, notes, arrangement, etc., he did the engineering/compression/etc. I'm not sure how much more clearer I can be. He never gave me any tracks, we wrote them together. Read my above post instead of trying to create some weird drama.

Do you have any idea what an ARCT is? You are seriously just trying to instigate because this is probably the dumbest thing I've honestly ever read. I have no clue what you're saying about university programs too because this has nothing to do with University. You are a complete idiot and it shows by your ignorance on this comment. Honestly the whole paragraph you wrote is ridiculous so all of it doesn't even warrant a need for me to explain anything here.
Why don't you actually listen to the music? Contact has a melodies abound, No Sudden Moves, Hydrology, Circles, all the same. I have made tons of music over the years and I am doing amazing things in the music industry. You on the other hand are some random internet moron who probably lives in his mum's basement. I'm not here to bring bad energy but your post reeks of internet trollness and just general retardation.
But really, You also seem like the kinda guy that wets his bed. And the you did for Imax. Well me that was bad. I mean it is worse than those ing production houses that specialize in trailer music. You don't even know of the work I've done for IMAX so how can you say it was bad? Furthermore, why don't you go talk to IMAX themselves to see if I'm partnered with them and my work involvement? Talk to the CEO or the CMO if you like, I implore you. Everything that you've just said in the above paragraphs is completely incorrect, factually wrong, and just provocation words. Furthermore, the reviews have been out of the park amazing. Seriously dude, all you are writing about is just trying to instigate me into getting angry online. I have much better things to do then fight on the internet with some faceless loser. I've said my peace on the above post with Joel, I was polite about everything, and you can go yourself? |

the reference i made regarding the royal conservatory accreditation was in comparison to most university performance programs kinda outlining that it is a joke and not really something you brag about.
You are kinda missing the point. Deadmau5 gave you a track and you took credit for it.You haven't denied this. The sound design is all him, your riffs are what musicologists would consider harmony and lacking of any actual melody that one could even copyright so he gave you that track, produced it for you and you took credit for it. Didn't even mention his name it seems. Seems like you let that ride hard. And i know exactly what you did for Imax.
You basically applied some ty electronic music to various spliced sequences with no ing logical structure or thematic manipulation and call it scoring. Then you ing perform it as a dj set once in front of 30 people ? Sound about right. That is called wanking. Your career , let me sum it up, Dudda makes deadmau5 big, deadmau5 makes you big, you use that momentum to get a residency that keeps regurgitating the hype while you never really release any more tracks of import. You are a second order derivative. An ugly that doesn't know how to dress on a red carpet granted I know it wasn't really a red carpet event. |

Looney 4 Clooney -
Again, I will reiterate that you are completely insane to think that having an ARCT is something unimportant. It just shows how ignorant and out of touch with reality you are. You are the one missing the point. Joel gave me no tracks, they were collaborations. I've said my piece on the earlier post and I will keep it to that because it says everything it needs to say. As for IMAX, again you have no clue about what I did musically unless you attended the show as well as had discussions with the film tracking people in Los Angeles as to what music I've done music scoring for. Do you know what the films are? I highly doubt you know what you're talking about and my basic formula for the internet sums you up quite nicely - Anonymity + Ignorance = Ridiculous Comments.
I'm done with this internet thread as I've said my piece. If anyone wants to discuss things further then you're more than welcome to email me through my contact websites. Hope everyone has a good day and take care. |

ok , since ARCT is so ing fantastic,
here
simple first year university theory question. How would you spell a french 4/3 chord approaching a dominant that is tonizing the subdominant of the key of Bb major.
should take you 10 seconds and i made ing easy for you because i know you are full of . Well unless you only have an arct which in that case, you have no ing idea because what you learn at the royal conservatory is what most would call very ing basic. IT is a prerequisite if anything to university programs that is taken under consideration if anything because it is so ing easy. That isn't good. You are bragging about a high school level accreditation if one were to make a comparison between learning and their level.
And you call Deadmau5 an ass while you release you now claim you did together yet don't credit him. Seems like you are a the little tide riding bitch. He might have issues but one thing that isn't his MO is taking credit for things he didn't do or lying about a few things to get back at some producer of no consequence. You can clearly track his career and notice the changes and incremental improvement. Quit bogardting Okey. |

| It troubles me when partners fall out over something as banal as money tickets. I could not live with myself if I were to in any sense profit from someone else's efforts, for example the way George Lucas paid Darth Vader a pittance whilst Lucas ensnared vastly more than one man would ever need. |

i think if you compare both
deadmau5 is a socially akward guy who loves music and is talented at producing.
Morrison is an opportunist that got where he sucking dick positioning himself in a place that perpetuates a level of hype that is completely fabricated.
He collaborated and never gave Deadmau5 credit. Which prompted deadmau5's initial response to morrisson's ghost producing service and the irony. Morrisson is right up there with Illgates and Vespers. All hype with very little substance. They all look fantastic on paper because they play that game well but when you actually look at what they do ..... |
