Weird, when I first posted this, The Beastie Boys stuck out in my mind, but I thought it'd be silly to list any of them as opposed to any other artists. This is the 2nd time something like this happened within the past week or so... :nervous:

It's definitely another sad blow to an inspiring era of music. Hopefully his life was as fulfilling to him as he would've liked it to be. At the very least, artists like The Beastie Boys give future generations a point of reference as to what the art form was, and what it was about closer to when it first sprang to life and captivated so many minds.

Also, can we put these "new age/tibetian/oriental/bla bla bla" horse remedies to rest now?

Steve Jobs - dead
Adam - dead

What's in common? Oh yeah, the TRADITIONAL TIBETIAN medicine crap. Might as well lick monkey's butt or chew on some powdered tiger dick... so, here's your PSA: if you got a life threatening disease, gambling with these voodoo snake piss treatments may be a BAD ING IDEA...

:whip:

ing hippies and their retarded treatments. :whip:

edit: yeah, I realize that the outcome may have been the same in the end, however, delaying treatment with these quack methods may only expedite one's departure from this plane of existence.

yeah, he died all because he wanted to help a country in need

speaking of retarded, I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT HIS ACTIVISM. I was talking about him opting for "Tibetian Traditional Medicine", jackass:

The New York-based musician had been undergoing treatment for cancer since doctors discovered a tumor in his salivary gland in 2009. He had also sought help from traditional Tibetan doctors in Dharamshala, India, for treatment.

unless I'm missing something, being an activist doesn't mean you also have to forego modern medical treatment.

Maybe, jobs lived 8 years with pancreatic cancer which is 6 years past the average, but he wasted the last 9 months on further pursuing alternative medicine when doctors told him to operate. Most experts believe that he'd still be alive now had he gone ahead with the tumor removal when his western doctors told him to, but instead he kept with the alternative method.

RIP Adam Yauch.
