Man this isn;t going well for you.....

And yes, you were wrong about the life expectancy of pancreatic cancer, because you completely ignored the fact that he had a very rare form of it that is drastically more treatable than the normal type. You were wrong, again because you completely ignored the actual type of cancer he had, and you were wrong yet again, because you completely ignore the specific type of cancer that he actually had. Notice a pattern here? It pretty much boils down to your entire argument being based on statistics from normal Pancreatic Cancer, which is completely irrelevant for Jobs' case.

I guess it's okay to use statistics based on normal Pancreatic Cancer and ignore the fact that his type (per the page you linked) happened in only 35/10,000 patients. Those are pretty rock solid number right there. I give up, you win.

So you're batting 0-3 right now. But I'm sure you'll make some more stuff up to try and save face anyways, so I await your inevitably hilarious response.
Looney4Clooney
the last two things you listed are the same. Have you considered not being such a gnat ?

Yes, he died from a metastatic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. He was not originally diagnosed with one.

No you moron, because it hadn't yet spread to other organs (again that's what metastatic tumor means). He was diagnosed with a serious pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor and it was that serious, he was told to immediately operate. Again (wait for it.....) in 9 months it went from stage one to stage four....but I'll get to that ;)

You're not even worth arguing with, because all you do is get proven wrong, and then make up something that you supposedly said (most of the time which was wrong anyways), and then try to throw around insults based on nothing.

Self projection much? I'mma give you the inlsults bit (because you are really quite dense) but I've been posting links (and you haven't) for every time you're wrong but somehow you keep telling me I'm the one off base. I mean, the least you could is, I dunno, google some of this before you start pounding on your keyboard?

Your 9 month "fact"? Did you pull that one out of your ass as well? He had a liver transplant years after he was diagnosed with it. Apparently 9 months equates to multiple years. Brilliant deduction.

Yeah, I "pulled it out of my arse", because that's where Steve Jobs own words come from:

My god, are you really that oblivious to the subject matter you're trying to comment on or is it just inherent stupidity?

Seriously, the more you try to post, the more I realise you know nothing about this.

I mean I'm glad you think you're "slapping someone around" but misquoting "facts" that simply aren't true doesn't make you win arguments.

Well, the problem comes when those "facts" happen to be, er, Facts (like all through this). So really, that's what happens when you spout nonsense and someone sets you straight, you get a slap, even if it is metaphorical. It's like when you were in school and you kept putting up your hand with the wrong answer, and the teacher just had enough and told you to sit in the corner. Just think back to that memory and maybe you'll quit posting about something you know nothing about.

Thanks, Bro :gsmile:

Oh, not going to bother with your second post, as L4C pointed out it's a double, and that's not getting in to the fact that I'm not the one trying to re-qualify every statement. Sorry man, but this is all in black or white, so time to finally give it up.

I don't think you even realize that there are different types of Pancreatic Cancer.

if someone is wasting their efforts on bull then its not just about the quality of their life, but also their stupidity and faith in demonstrable nonsense. if they didn't have this faith then there's no reason at all to favour bollocks over inaction. that's their choice of course, as it is mine to criticise them for it.

You're wrong, and you don't know about what people want. Plain and simple. I get what you're saying, but you can't possibly think that there's only ONE way for people to pursue health and healing? You really just don't understand the concept, I can see that.

you constantly saying “you’re wrong” without explanation is not really advancing your regular defence of idiot hippies. we’ve done this dance before, you were underwhelming then too :)

of course there isn’t one way for people to pursue HEALTH and HEALING, my point was that there is only one area of medicine for genuine cancer combat, and that those that choose crystals or prayer or hanging out with monks in Tibet cannot be claiming to be doing so purely because of “quality of life concerns”; they must also be doing it because of “idiot medicine syndrome”. I’m not doubting that crystals et al provide better quality of life (for a time anyway) than radiation or poison, but if quality of life is the ONLY concern, then nobody of sound mind is going to go with crystals.

while not all cancers can be treated, there is a 100% failure rate with alternative “medicine” so I question your implicit assertion that such methods can be classified as pursuing either health or healing. the proof in the pudding is in the mountains of death.
Halcyon+On+On
Statistically speaking, I am sure it can at least be said that the placebo effect from one putting faith in modern medicine techniques produces a far more prevalent confirmation bias than the correlative results of respective alternative medicine techniques and practices. That being said, I am sure there likewise exists a not-unheard of nocebo effect with some patients (especially those particularly seeped in faith-based practices in the first place) that results from participation in proven methods of attempted rejuvenation.

A sound mind is perhaps the most vital tool anyone has in combating a decline in health, whether this is by cancer or some other ailment. We must accept that at some point, 'soundness' means different things to different people, and that healthcare professionals are far better off pandering to even the most arcane of sensibilities in subtle balance when it comes to personal well being, at least for evading litigious claims of coercion. :p

Now post your address, I'm going to mail you a dreamcatcher I fashioned with my own hair and self-extracted tonsils (the TRUE unwisdom teeth!).
pkcRAISTLIN
healthcare PROFESSIONALS are better off doing what we (in sensible countries at least) subsidise their costs for. if people want to be pandered with bull they can off and die at home in agony and smelling extra bad. I could at least respect them taking their load off the system.
