Anyone excited?
I'm wondering if the city of London will make a profit out of this one. Their testing lab is state of the art and open 24hrs a day LOL.
The new aquatics centre where it will hold all the water sports is approximately $2300 sq/ft LMAO. Way to go Zaha Hadid! Mostly made out of steel instead of concrete because of all the in' curved and slanted walls she designed.
Missiles on top of Condos and buildings...
In any case, this should be interesting.

I'm not really bothered tbh. I think the Summmer Olympics are a great thing and I hope London puts on a good show, but frankly, as a whole its not really something I can get into.
It's one thing when it's the Winter Olympics and hockey is involved (fingers crossed the NHL gives the players the go ahead for the next one), but when it comes to the Summer Games, I just can't get excited about Pole Vault, Decathlon, Swimming, Running (even Walking?!), etc....
One of the only things that interests me is the football (soccer), but even then the mens is limited to U23 with a few exceptions per team, and with Euros this summer as well, nobody really cares...
The Womans football on the other hand though should be quite good, the Olympics is basically their World Cup (I know they have a world cup as well, but the Olympics is valued more) and I'm hoping for a good Canadian showing... |

I love watching the games because it exposes me to athletes and games that I'm not usually accustomed to watching or knowing anything about. It was really in 2008 to cheer on Aquaman Michael Phelps to win 8 gold medals out of 8 competitions. That is complete domination. The cover of him on SI with 8 medals LOL he totally owned everyone that year.
Anyway, as a designer, this logo has bothered me since it was first unveiled.
So ya, for many reasons other than the games, this year is very interesting. |

I love all Olympics. Can't wait to watch the over dramatic stories about the athletes.
