| I've been to a bath house. I had to endure 2 hours of the sort of sounds you know what it is but can't see it. Not to mention everywhere. Gives a new meaning to pitching an idea. I am not bound by the prescriptive conventions of spelling grammar or sexual etiquette. By purposefully writing at a grade 6 level, i am effectively giving the middle finger to the establishment ;" It takes some work, i mean to translate the ideas of a genius, into Dan Brown prose takes a grasp of language you s could not even begin to understand. |

In a dictatorship, the dictator doesn't have to hide the fact that he controlling people because he can use the fear of violence.
In a democracy, the threat of violence is illegal, so you have to control people by controlling information.
In this day and age, truth and righteousness mean very little while popularity and exposure are everything.
Get enough exposure in the public spotlight, and suddenly you become "important." Expose people to some bull idea long and hard enough, and people will believe it. |

Gay marriage is going to happen. Social conservatives don't seem to realize that reasonable social groups that are oppressed and picked on always fight back. If they would just leave them alone they wouldn't hear anything about gays ever again. What is astounding is the fact that millions of people care about an issue so stupid. It also shows that most people have a predisposition to want to control others personal lives.
There are exceedingly important issues out there like protracted wars at the cost of trillions to the taxpayers. Another issue the GOP seems not to understand. Money spent on war counts towards the deficit just like anything else. The difference is there is zero return to the taxpayer AND it makes us less safe.
And as for the announcement, it is purely political. Throwing your support behind gay marriage now is about as brave as throwing your hat behind evolution in 1990. |
