This tends to occur only in EDM. Well i suppose with backing tracks in rock/pop , it can happen but usually people find out. You can't fake it all the time, where as with djing, it is like doing a magic trick when everyone is ed out of their mind. You could up every night and nobody will notice or care.

What the hell is a hack?

Come to the UK, it is ing dire.

I'm 20, I would probably have the time of my life. I'm seriously curious as to what parties and clubs you've been going to, because given how vivid the scene is over there I'd guess it would be pretty easy to find proper parties with a 30+ crowd.

It's really not as great as you'd think.

Maybe in London it is better, but honestly in most northern cities it's a fest.

Music is timeless, and you're an ignorant and sad little man.

some music, and not the actual creation of it. That would be called redundancy. Which pretty much describes Farina; And i 'm pretty sure you could not of picked a squabble with someone that knows more about music. Ignorant to many things, music is not one of them.

You guys are just arguing over personal taste. Someone likes Farina, someone doesn't. There's no need to justify either side.

That would be no fun for a start. And given the supposed "old schoolers revolt", which implies there is some sort of great injustice afoot here it's good to see someone put things in perspective.

no i am talking about the fact he has been making playing the same music for the last 2 decades. That is what you call redundant and bad art.

Saw Farina in an afterhours setting, first off.. he's a very talented and experiened DJ. Whether you're a fan of what he plays or not, he knows how to work and tease a crowd. He uses 3 CDJs and he often uses accapellas very creatively. He has a lot of edits and mash ups, nothing cheesy. Big kick drums and basslines, minimal percussion. A lot of 909 claps and hats.. I watched him for 2 hours, would have stayed longer but had to be up early.. tickets were free so I went to check it out..

He isn't boring, he knows how to use a real soundsystem.. I missed his mushroom jazz set in Detroit a few weeks ago for Movement, was a little upset.

You really think he's been carrying the same tracks with him for the last two decades? What the is "the same music" supposed to mean? Sounds like you just like to talk a lot.

I'm not trying to take sides here at all, but art is subjective.

Looney4Clooney
in some ways yes, but when you are doing something that was done 20 years ago, that would be bad art. There is no point in doing something that has been done already.

Where is your logic in this? Dont you see how stupid you sound? or do you need someone to tell you?(I predict you do). Let me break it down for you.

People love certain sound. People make more of certain sound. Other people enjoy said certain sound in more volume. Happiness.

How hard is it to understand?
