bump.
Finally checked it out, very BIG venue. I would lean towards 3000 capacity rather than the 2500 reported by a few sources. 3000 and maybe more.
Retangular shape, so it's different visualizing the dancefloor in that shape rather than square or even semi circle, so the place does have the illusion of being large but it's not all that wide. So maybe 2500 it is hehe.
Crazy lighting, it's all about projection screens now. They also handed out those spongey, battery operated glow sticks like the ones u see in the pic below... so yeah, the rave experience has merged with the nightclub, pretty much. Main floor slopes a bit downward. Hopefully the floor doesn't cave in at some pioint in the future :p
Decent bathroom situation and VIP areas are huge. Sound had its sweet spots front and centre but the back and side areas were nothing to write home about.
Saw Dirty South drop more of that generic edm, the kind that will kill off commercial edm in a few years. Far too many builds and drops, breakdowns ad nauseum...Kazoo-sounding uptempo 'noise' til your ears bleed.
Buttrich, Squillace and Insomnia in the other two rooms, respectively.. great stuff coming from them, some great techno, tech minimal, deep tech and tech trance (the latter from Insomnia). I arrived just after Maher had finished opening up for Buttrich.
This is a massive space to fill.. it may do well for now but ppl sometimes like their intimacy and reasonably priced nights out as well. The jury is still out on whether this place can sustain the momentum every club has at the beginning but it did remind me of Circa in Toronto a bit for its opulence, paintings and sculptures on the bottom level. That place no longer exists however ;)

PS, isn't Pauly D tonight? :p |

| Place looks amazing from all the pics I've seen. I'm looking for a reason to make the trip and party there but someone really needs to cockslap their booking manager. Every name I've seen on an event there is outright cheddar. |

| yeah, I went on a long weekend too with a lineup seemingly for everyone and the place was maybe 80% full. Still that is over 2000 ppl but I don't know what their business model is like. |

| Nice venue. I have only been downstairs where the bars are. Nic Fanciulli next week :) I really do hope NCG books Sasha for October or early November. |

lots of potential imo
bookings should even out as they find their balance |

| But the bookings always have to be huge in order to fill that place up |
