I'm guessing Tritonal and Ashley Wallbridge.

Tritonal are playing on the Dash Berlin event later this month, so probably not them. Wallbridge would be a hell of an addition though for sure.

Anyone have any info on the venue?

Governors Beach Club is NYC’s most versatile waterfront concert venue and event space, offering over 20,000 square feet of fun! Host a company luncheon, birthday party, or waterfront wedding. Come out for one of our many festivals throughout the summer to taste great craft beers and delicious food. Rock out or dance the night away at one of our concerts while gazing upon the beautiful NYC skyline.

Governors Island is open to the public Saturdays and Sundays and all Holiday Mondays from the end of May thru Mid September. Only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn, the fun awaits just a short ferry ride away. Just to your right upon exiting the ferry, you’ll find the Beach Grill serving up our awesome burgers, hot dogs, and sausages prepared fresh and served with style. For the veggie lovers, you’ll flip for the 100% veggie and vegan burgers (no soy fillers) made fresh daily. The grill also offers great craft beers on tap: Blue Point Toasted Lager, Magic Hat #9, Ommegang Witte Ale, and Six Point Crisp Lager.

Leave the coolers and pets at home, get out of the city and come escape to the beach. There is so much in store for you and it’s all just a ferry ride away. See you on the sand!

I went for the first time this past weekend for the Laidback Luke party and had a great time.

Governors Island is sort of similar to Water Taxi Beach if you've been, but quite a bit bigger. There is basically a massive tented dance floor, and a big beach at the back.

here's a vid from this past weekend....

Thx Euphoria, but I was looking for a more personal review (saw that description on the site) - what people thought of actually hanging out there, etc.

Thx Zach! Are you heading over for this show?

i really liked the venue. i heard the 1st event (benny benassi) didn't go as smooth but they seemed to have addressed most of the issues. I was on/off the ferry in less than 10 minutes going both ways (although I did leave 30 minutes before it ended).

The crowd seemed okay, you have your share of douche bags (one guy called me and my gf "chingaling" when we walked by, real mature buddy) but other then that, overall good vibe.

drinks are really expensive. $15 for redbull and vodka. and not middle shelf vodka, from a plastic jug. not worth it.

sound system could be improved, unless you were inside the tent, you didn't really feel the bass. and the lights could have been better too.

best part was the amazing view

what an unbelievable track. so bittersweet - gareth has produced some of my favorite tunes, he's really, really talented. but he hopped on the trouse bandwagon and there isn't anything special about his live sets anymore.

on the other hand, i'll admit that he does bring the energy.
