Er.. even though you're completely off base in you last sentence assumptions...

So then what the are you getting at? Masturbation in excess, if anything leads leads to premature ejaculation, loss of libido, even physical defects - not lasting longer, so no, it's not at all like "ing everyday" which if you do so, you generally get better at which is a skill worth having. I know you might be slightly less informed on the subject matter here, but ing involves someone else, not just you and or some porn.

No. Who cares? Read the thread title, and stop looking for conspiracies.

So yeah, but No, but yeah, but no, but yeah, but no.

Nope, pretty sure this is about porn.

Yep, you proved it, you're a retard.

Who the gets addicted to watching porn, just WATCHING porn. Tell me that?

I mean I'm totally addicted to cigarettes, I buy them constantly... I don't smoke them though, but man just holding and looking at those slim white sticks of sweet tobacco really gets me off.

This argument is anti-masturbation. It has no valid connection to porn. At all. None.

Its not even a good anti-porn argument, there are plenty of other angles that you could use for being anti-porn, like degradation of women, unrealistic expectations of partners, profiting off of sex, etc. None of these though have anything to do with people being addicted to porn, because you do not become addicted to porn, you become addicted to masturbation, and in the process you might require porn to masturbate, but the addiction is to masturbation, the actual pleasure act.

Absouteley Perfect; so it's the cigarettes you're addicted to and not the nicotine then ;)

Again, No it's not. You're desperately trying to protect your sacred ritual of burping the worm, as we're trying to stop you from it, but understand I'm not (and no one, maybe with exception to your mother) is going to put a shock collar on you. Just stop trying to make this thread about something else. Whether you choke it or not, people can be addicted to porn - have you never watched Maury?

I'll give you another exmaple: I enjoy the odd refer from time to time.

There is no way I can possibly be physically addicted to tobacco due to the infrequency - it's a scientific impossibility. Weed or Hash is not physically addictive.

Sometimes, I might get a craving, that could be likened to any addidction that has to be satisfied. Maybe it's that first toke, the crackle of bud or the superslim OCB it's prinstinely wrapped in or maybe the ritual of creating a finely crafted hooner...who ho knows, but there is nothing physical about that need or it's serous effect on me, making me submit.

So tell me therefore, oh wise and experienced one, do you think sex addiction is simply about orgasm?

It might be because of both but either way this discussion is about porn so stop trying to make it some misguided crusade against the non-existant anti-masturbation undertones in this thread. No one is looking to go through all the sociological flaws with porn, just why it might not be good for you from phycological point of view.

The thread is about why pron may not be so good for you. It's not a PHD thesis on the pitfalls of masturbation.

It is amusing however how passionately you're defending how much of a wanker you are though :gsmile:

For your whole argument to work you are making some insane assumption that there is a significant percentage of people who just watch porn and don't masturbate. People become addicted to masturbation, not porn, porn is a tool. They might require porn to masturbate, but thats not an addiction to porn, thats an addiction to masturbation. I am sure that if you locked them in a room they'd still masturbate if they were addicted to it. There is no way you can separate these arguments, watching porn = masturbation for all intents and purposes.

All the "pitfalls of porn" are just the same for masturbation, and all of it is bull.

No, some people totally just watch porn to watch porn. I know, I know. What? But it's true.

I watch it for the acting. And I read Playboy for the articles.

I'm not making any such assumptions, and I certainly wouldn't make such primitively simple black and white assertions as you are trying to do.

Again, I don't really think you're the right person to become TA's sexual education coach. Just because you try to sink the battleship more often than a German U-boat, doesn't make you qualified to comment of what classifies as a sexual addiction.

To completely defeat your point I have a friend in London with a porn collection so large and comprehensive, he jokingly calls it unsecured offsite storage for the porn industry.

It's basically to porn, what Kew Gardens is to plant life.

He's married now and by self confession he used to strain it as much as you do but now, apparently hardly at all (if ever) and his addiction to porn has never been stronger. Now please explain this to me? Or is your knowledge gleaned from trying to forceably disconnect that soggy soggy noodle losely connected to your navel, somehow so omnipotent that it's just a figment of his imagination and he should just snap out of like all gamblers or kleptomaniacs do at will?

I lived in a shared-rent house for a while that got pirated satellite TV (whoa, is that ever dating me!), thus channels which, of course, included a few porn stations. When we first got this, we'd all gather around the living room and watch it for a while, acting like we'd discovered forbidden treasure or something ("Whoo! Free porn!!!" *brofists galore*). We weren't watching it to get off or anything, but because it was there - kind of like discovering your friend's father's nudie magazine stash in the closet when you're 12 (God, I *swear* I'm not that old!!)

After about half an hour, we'd all get bored and turn it off, 'cause really, what's the point?

He'd probably collect something else besides porn if it wasn't porn. He sounds like a hoarder, and digital hoarding is just a very easy outlet.
