I heard some fuss being made about this song so I had a listen (to the original). what a song, couldn't even listen past the first minute. I was hoping it wouldn't be that bad, but now I don't even care to listen to the ferry remix. he could have remixed other better songs that are popular.

You have to be ing kidding me...

Not only its justing bieber, but this sounds like Trouse.

Very disappointed in Corsten. Another DJ/producer following the $$ trail.

As a producer such as him, coming from the "Underground" scene and become famous and an icon, you have to be very careful when you want to cross genres. Especially mixing a song from some one that is considered the opposite of the "underground". If you dare to go there, in fact, you have to "bring it". Meaning you have to give everything you got to take that sound and transpose it. Not only do you have to make it good enough to be considered "underground"-approved but it has to be amazing. Only then can such producers shake off the negative publicity it will gain at first. only few producers have been able to pull this off and many have failed. This remix is a failure and he should feel bad. But i am sure it was intentionally. Based on the poor production of this song he clearly shows he is not trying to convert pop culture to the underground culture , he is simply milking this new EDM cow. eff him and this song. He better come up with something classy soon or i won't even consider giving him 2 second of my time. Good thing i didn't buy tickets. I surely won't be there at any of his future shows. cheers

100% agree. I saw him in Ibiza 3 weeks ago at his Full On Ferry show at Judgement Sundays at Eden and I honestly wasn't expecting much because I already felt Ferry had abandoned his style for a solid year now, however he did impress. It wasnt the Ferry we are used to hearing but it wasnt THAT bad either. The last hour was supposed to be John O'Callaghan's slot and Ferry was doing B2B's with the other DJ's so he decided to do one with JOC too and they happened to go B2B the full hour and that was the best surprise of the entire trip. Ferry knew in order to keep up with JOC he had to bring his 140bpm style of tracks and he did just that. It was nice to hear some classic's I never thought I would hear live again.

It's truly sad to see all of this BS though. I really wonder if we will ever get to hear the same high quality of the productions and live sets we were used to hearing.

Isn't it time for someone to come in and tell us he's just 'exploring different sounds' and that we need to open our minds to 'new styles' and 'crossover' etc etc..?

He basically did it himself. Here is his rebuttal on Facebook yesterday...

"Hey guys, as a response to some extremely ridiculous reactions to me doing a remix for Justin Bieber, I just want to say this…

The request for this remix came in and I found it quite a challenge to make a dance radio remix for such a young and talented artist. And YES, if you can play 3 instruments and you can sing, I call you talented!

I just had fun producing this, please don’t cry over it, I create EDM!"

Honestly I get it. I really do. Your reaching out to a whole new crowd and all, and that is great. My problem is the track just flat out SUCKS. No originality. No emotion. No soul. It seriously sounds like he put this out in two days. And quite honestly... Bieber's voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me.

I've always loved Ferry because he didn't do just trance... kinda why I liked Sander before he went mainstream. He could drop an amazing trance tune or a nice progressive sound and it was good. But this is just trash IMO.

This could just be a one off, but I haven't heard WKND yet and I hear its mostly the new-age electro-house/trouse sound. If that's where he is going, so long and thanks for all the beats. We always have his classics readily available... not to mention a lot of more underground producers creating better quality tracks.

emm.no! he has been in the scene long enough to know exactly what he was doing. that wasn't a challenge . he didn't give all he had.i even read on mike's fb post that he used the same template of his previous song. therefore further proving he just wanted to get it over with it quick to get that cash yo!

enough with excuses. lets just agree that this was what it was and lets move on.
