That may be true, but Denmark does not have a military like America, nor do they have as many top notch schools/universities that the united states has. The list goes on and in the end, all of these things dont come from trees.
Sure, it would be nice to get more money in my pocket, but id much rather have my tax $$$ go towards stronger military to protect our country, school, teachers, police officers etc etc etc etc etc.
Our budget is a helluva lot different compared to Denmark, so comparing those two countries isnt a good comparison. . . . |

and my last point, for which I will have to beat the hell outta you if you contradict me ( cause it does apply at 95 % of cases ) , the usa goes in countries and makes them drops to their knees and lets them drink their own blood without giving them support.
that is wrong, and if you say the usa is good, under God, under morals, I say no. It has good intentions at the root, but what motivates these intentions? Money and gas gussling SUVs? The will to be good and save all when in their own country people are struggling with minimum wage? ( I mean it's a wide point of view ok , but their are issues at HOMe that have to be regulated, not that I'm saying I hate usa FAR FROM IT ) |
So Why did the US send troops into Somalia to aid the UN distribution of food to the starving? So we could get our hands on all those luxurious Somali SUV's? Or maybe we did it to get more sand for our paradise beaches or something. We sent in troops to bring an end to violence in the region and to help people get access to humanitarian aid that the warlords were stealing and hording. We sent in OUR soldiers who died trying to help people. How did we benefit from that? How many European countries have sent troops to die in needy countries trying to provide humanitarian aid? Why did we send troops to Kosovo? What did we get out of that? How come after the United Nations failed to stop the mass killings we used NATO to stop the violence? Why did we bomb Serbia and then after their government that engaged in mass killings and genocide fell from power we GAVE them money to help rebuild the very things that we destroyed??? None of that was our problem ... we didn't have to interfere but we did so because it was the right thing to do.
Oh yea ... I'm waiting for my beat down haha |

Case and point...America needs to stop spending tax payer dollars trying to save the world and invest their money into their own country cause we have enough problems of our own..then everyone that hates America now can join the homocide bombers and really have a reason to HATE America... |

I understand what you are saying but I have to disagree.
If no one gives a about others globally, who will? We live in a time now where we all live in a global community. Anything that happens in this world, affects the united states in some way even though you might not see it.
Example: Earthquakes in Japan. You may say, "Who gives a flying about what happens in Japan?" Japan gets huge earthquakes like once every 100 some years. Well guess what. A lot of the money you have in your bank accounts, stocks, etc . . .. are kept in Japanese banks. If an earthquake flattens out these banks . . .. guess where your money goes? |

Well oil is a commodity, it's almost the same if they get 0% or 100% of its oil from Saudi Arabia. |

Yes but you miss the point entirely. Our involvement in the Gulf region is NOT solely because we are trying to protect our oil interests. In actuality the vast majority of our imports are from other regions of the world. Therefore to say that we are out "to get" Iraq because we want their oil is ridiculous. It's because they violated treaty agreements and pose a threat to the international community. |

Busy Child...your contradicting yourself..first you say how Americans should invest their tax paying dollars to homeland security then in your last post you say that the money should support the rest of the world..the reason i made that last statement was simply because there is a lot of hatred for Americans by a lot of countries around the world...You hardly here anything good that they do cause everyone is too busy blabbing their mouths about whats wrong..Well if the Americans do soooooooooo much wrong in this world and are in every countries business then they should cut off all means with the rest of the world...and worry about themselves..Bottom line your right...thats impossible because we all depend on each other for different reasons..thats what makes the world go round and nothing will change that..and trust me the United States does not need Japenese banks or anything else for that matter...oh and by the way our allies are our friends and we take care of our friends.. |

Jp,
I was not contradicting myself. The two posts I made that you saw were contradicting were comments for two separate posts. One regarding on spending on our own citizens, and the other regarding foreign policy.
Please read carefully.
And the comment you made about americans not needing japanese banks? No offense but that is an uneducated comment because you have no idea how much of our money is kept in japanese banks.
Cheers. |

bigger military = lower education of the mass, brain washing etc.
top notch schools in the usa = a business.
danemark has great schools, how the hell do you want to compare when you don't know what they have over there? wtf ?
and you dare say :usa helps other countries; when your reply states : quote: | but id much rather have my tax $$$ go towards stronger military to protect our country, school, teachers, police officers etc etc etc etc etc. |
is that sentiments for the well being of a nation, or of a planet? NO ... it's all about your own self
you make no mention of saving the world???
