Nothing is sampled from anywhere, I promise!

Anyway, long way to go on this track, mixwise, content wise, drum wise and well, lots of other wises too.

Hoping to finish it by Monday. Basically what was here thus far, was only about 50% of the work required.

Invaluable feedback as ever guys.

ouch @ clooney. I think the background pad is a lil muddy in the mid lows which is throwing the rest of the mix off, but the rest of the sounds are pretty solid - its just that main pad lfo background lead thinger. a main part undoubtedly, but lets not crush the whole track on one minor issue that can be easily remedied.

Not L4C lol.

+1 lol my fault for not quoting.

@Richard i don't think you sampled anything just wanted to remark that if it sounds familiar is because that kind of dnb has similar structure/sound design and only the melody pads vary from track to track.
Viking Pillager
didnt sound sampled to me, rather simply a spot on emulation of some pretty standardized "dNb" pad work etc.

Keep it up, But.
When your stuff starts getting really good, the haters come out.

Nice UK vibe here. I like it. Get it played out? The mix is solid and fat.

edit: Like l4c mentioned, the mix is a little quirky but I find it to be solid so it didn't bother me. any other tracks in particular you can A/B for us?

LATEST VERSION

DO YOU THINK IT'S FINNISHED SO I CAN SEND IT OUT?

I don't notice anything that needs to be changed. It seems finished to me.

Great track, really really surprised me.

Vocal works so well.

I'd make some fills with that bass thou, to keep things even more interesting.

I think the focus should be shifted more towards that sick bass line. I also don't really like the snare.

Solid track though.

Thanks you 3.

I've made a shopping list so far;

1. After 3 mins – make those beat tracks turn into snare rolls.
2. Bring out bass here n there - snarly etc.
3. Do some bass fills
4. Add interest after last break ‘other’ vocal
5. If I dare, change the snare…….Sean I've been messing with the snare soooo long and never been happy with it - do you have a suggested snare tone - maybe post a track or something. It will be hard to change as there are over 15 lanes of drum sounds all interplaying with one another.

Thankx, it helps a lot.

The snare needs more punch, more impact. It sort of sounds like a burst of white noise right now.

Listen at 1:30. I think a snare like that would give the track a lot more punch.
