I'm still trying to comprehend why milk is sometimes sold in bags.
Bags.

So do you. Pretty much everyone in my family drank milk every day for between 25-55 years, and are perfectly fine.

It's cheaper to package and "better" for the environment.

I love them both so much.
I watch this regularly and I'm in tears every time. :haha:

Quaint reasoning, but I am sure it has something more to do with the fact that it's terribly maladaptive for the females of the species to constantly be lactating to feed every member of the herd from birth to death because every member has a strict nutritional dependency upon it that never waned. It makes more sense that near to sexual maturation and autonomy, members grow to procure their own food through hunting or gathering, so that their mother can devote social and biological resources toward new offspring, furthering their genetic line. Nou, are you writing this down?
The evolution of humans from hunter-gatherers to agriculturalists was not exactly uniform across all societies, and that could be due to innumerable geographical and psychosocial factors. For example, perhaps (speculation, here) the damp soil or fauna of eastern Asia prevented cattle husbandry to the point where milk would have been a cost-effective resource- perhaps smaller animals such as pigs and goats were more conducive to the satellite farms of their family and cultural dynamic, making meat from said animals a better source of nutrition than allowing them to live as milk machines.
In contrast, the rocky ground of Europe and thus the Northern European descent into North America produced a stock of people who came from an environment and culture that came to value particular agricultural techniques conducive to their topography; one actual example I know of is the presence of butter and cream in Northern Italian cooking versus the presence of olive oil in southern Italian cooking. The terrain shift and the ability for Northern Italy's soil to handle large, hooved animals like cattle has everything to do with this dietary shift as Southern Italy's soft, wet soil would tend to make a poor environment for those same beasts.
Obviously there is a ton of conjecture on my behalf, but I think it's mere circumstance and evolutionary artifact that many humans have evolved an almost programmed intolerance for certain dairy. The fact is that if it doesn't affect you adversely, it's not only safe, but a nutritional, vitamin-rich product that many humans have certainly re-adapted to consuming once agricultural means developed to the point they are at in our current age.

No I don't, did you read the part I quoted?
In general it's bad as most people on earth will get ill because they are lactose intolerant, expect Europeans and North-Americans who adapted to drinking milk after childhood.
That's the explanation why your and my family didn't get ill from drinking milk. I'm daily drinking milk for 38 years now.

Nothing about milk is bad for people in general. It is only certain people's bodies that are incapable of properly digesting it.

All true, but I didn't want to go that deep. My parents both grew up at a farm.
Mostly I drink low-fat milk by the way.

For Europeans and North Americans yes, world wide no.

From what I understand, there is an enzyme in milk, before pasteurization, that helps your body digest the milk without you getting a stomach ache or feeling ill. When milk is pasteurized, that enzyme is essentially burned out of the milk. Of course, the milk at your typical grocery store has to be pasteurized, considering the condition it is in when it comes out of the cows that are used because those cows are raised in conditions that make them sick and the milk contaminated with a lot of things that will make you as the consumer sick once it enters your body. Milk that comes from a cow that is grass fed and is allowed to move around on a field is a lot safer to drink.
I've given milk to people who think they are "lactose intolerant" and they were fine after drinking it. Again, it's the milk that is pasteurized that is going to give these people problems because the enzyme is gone and their body just can't put it down properly.
As for me, I just love the taste of milk that comes out of a properly raised and fed cow that goes directly to the bottle.
