We got there around 9:15 and the 4 of us were inside after a 25 minute wait. Props to FW for installing fans above the dance floor it is now nice and cool. The Lee Foss and Maceo Plex parties were disgustingly hot. It was great that they limited the amount of people allowed in, it was full but not fire hazard full.
I saw him this summer at Amnesia for his Music On party and was blown away. I expected this to be a good one. Hands down this was the best party I have ever been to at FW, period.
I hobbled out of FW at 5:15 and the dance floor was still pretty full.
Highlight of the night was when he played: Paul C & Paolo Martini – Take Some Time
The place totally went off!
Carola is in a league of his own. I can't wait for him to return, the vibe was top notch. Thanks for booking him. |

Footwork brings some really good DJs but the security guys are stupid. They build a long line up outside the club just to look hype, not because said DJ has put the club at capacity. I remember waiting for like over an hour for Lee Foss earlier this year until I booked it. I clearly saw people leaving the club, but they still wouldn't let people in. Sometimes other people jumped the cue and people and somehow got it when they weren't waiting as long.
This club is ridiculous and the way everyone hails it as being some sort of haven here is even more disturbing. It doesn't even look that good inside The only things holding it up are the freindly bar staff and the amazing DJs they manage to book. I've never had to deal with this type of nonsense from TiL which used to book some great acts. TiL even had Adam Beyer and Marco Corala spinning one night on the same bill and it was a breeze to get in.
EDM clubs acting like top 40 clubs who don't need customers to come in are ruining the damn scene. |

wow, that is a load of jaded bull. ruin the scene? it's been like that for ages. as far as bouncers being retards...they are ing bouncers man! their job is to remain upright.
if a concert sells out and you didn't buy a ticket, is the venue retarded? get there earlier if you are that desperate to see an act. |

Still doesn't explain why they only let certain people inside the club and not others like the people who have been waiting in the queue, when there's people who are clearly leaving. They're not being fair to the people who have been waiting for gawd knows how long and giving preference to others, who I've doubt have greased the bouncers.
Maybe because of it's close proximity to King St, the people there believe they have to run it that way. Or becuase it's a really niche spot which features some real 'underground' DJs. Either way it's ridiculous what they do. I've never experienced their level of BS in other major EDM clubs around TDot. |

| I dunno man, walking passed suckers in line shaking hands with a bouncer and walking in feels in good. You should try it one day....oh wait..You don't have connections and have to purchase tickets and wait in lines....sorry buddy next life be more social and likable :) |

it's called a face policy. it is to keep the place from being a total sausage fest or full of people that want their record signed or stupid like that. it makes the parties better. the most famous techno club in the world has a face policy. it didn't hurt their business. if they were selecting the patrons that they want to let in their establishment, it is to make the party as good as possible. they obviously had no problem filling the place.
it's a nightclub, not a democracy. |

Sorry, but you are talking absolute nonsense. The bouncers at Footwork generally do a great job. |

Dude friendly staff and a good DJ is a huge piece of a good party, right up there with sound quality and all the other essentials. The fact you go on to compare it to TIL is bonkers. That's like comparing Mother Teresa to some hoe that went to church, one time, way back in the day, maybe... |
