Ya I remember that night vividly - it was June 23, 2007. Club was only half full lol. It was more a Beatport nerd night because we were eating up Deadmau5's new "dirty electro house" tracks at that time. To think about how much popularity he gained in a couple years ... it truly is monumental.

Looking at that picture of how full FW's lineup was makes me cringe! Reminds me of gridlock on the 401.

You mean the only thing making footwork popular are two important aspects to clubbing? How dare they take care of their core business functions.

Having Carola at FW would be a treat as a fan. If you are a die hard fan, you show up early. That is the gift/curse that is a small venue. You get to see a big DJ in a small setting, but not everybody get's to experience it.

Good thing I didn't even try, I wouldn't have gotten there before 10.

It was a great party...Carola did his thing like always. Nathan also killed it...very solid job getting things going

The line up situation was a show at best. Im sure Footy staff knew what was in store and should have done more to prepare...The cluster line up of about 40 people wide right back to the sidewalk was too much.....I can see how people are pissed because they stood in what at one time was a line...once everyone started piling in and the club did nothing about it...it escalated and the line up and any sort of organization was gone.

Maybe next time a draw like Carola is booked at a small venue, tickets should be pre-sold

ahh well...whats done is done. Great night regardless.....

Lol I wouldn't let Noobie Q in either.

It was at capacity at 11. If you were not waiting in line by 945pm, you either wasted your time in line or waited a bottle 30-60mins to get in.

I thought it was ludicrous to be already parking my car before the LCBO closed at 9pm. But I'm glad I did. I know how it feels waiting over an. And not getting in as big did that on Hallowe'en.

If there's any criticism to be made I would say it starts and ends there. Worked perfectly for Sasha...

Sorry, but you are talking absolute nonsense. The bouncers at Footwork generally do a great job.

I remember it was Dance 2 Da Beat cancer charity event & we saw flyers with Mau5's name, all of us wondering who the hell is "dead mau 5" lol :)

Footwork brings some really good DJs but the security guys are stupid. They build a long line up outside the club just to look hype, not because said DJ has put the club at capacity. I remember waiting for like over an hour for Lee Foss earlier this year until I booked it. I clearly saw people leaving the club, but they still wouldn't let people in. Sometimes other people jumped the cue and people and somehow got it when they weren't waiting as long.

This club is ridiculous and the way everyone hails it as being some sort of haven here is even more disturbing. It doesn't even look that good inside The only things holding it up are the freindly bar staff and the amazing DJs they manage to book. I've never had to deal with this type of nonsense from TiL which used to book some great acts. TiL even had Adam Beyer and Marco Corala spinning one night on the same bill and it was a breeze to get in.

EDM clubs acting like top 40 clubs who don't need customers to come in are ruining the damn scene.

off the mark here man...Footwork bouncers are some of the best bouncers I have ever met in my time going out in Toronto...both in EDM clubs and top 40 clubs.

Heads and shoulders above others....with the exception MAYBE of System Soundbar
