Hey ppl, wassup? :cool: Today I got my MDR V 700 SONY headphones as a gift for my nameday! I've been searching them since December 2001 here in greece but i couldn't find them anywhere! :rolleyes: But now they are my hostages! :D
I want to discuss with some other people here in this thread about these headphones.I think that they deserve their money and that they have excellent sound!I just love them and I suggest them to all the djs around the globe (since they can find them now! :crazy: ).So, gimme your opinion...I wanna know!

im a proud owner of a mdr v700 2...
and imo they r0x... dont let any tell u else, if u love'em
stick with them
i know gluegun will probably be on ur case very s00n telling u they aint worth the money and the that the sennheiser 280 is better and bla bla bla....
these headphones rock, a bit heavy, but still, they totally do the job

700s dont sound bad but they suck otherwise the duribility of them sucks they breaks with in a year 70% of the time...especially around the plasic pull out part each side ...they are extremely cheep frame waste of money....... especially if you use them all the time....ill never buy them again
so i bought Technics rp dj1200a ..and had them for 9 months now and boy they havent dissapointed me yet AMAZING HEAD PHONES ...they cuff the ear so well and put every other sound out its so sweet! |

I've got a pair of headphones with an incredible anti-deaf system: after two weeks listening music out loud, it stops working :D
I need to buy some real h-phones :rolleyes: |

| man i had the 700's and they broke...buy the technics...they OWN!!!! i jsut bougth the 600's and they are alot better then the 700's. i am gonna go ahead and buy the technics soon when i have enough cash! |

i've had the 700s for like 14-16 months now
not a single crack
still does the job for me
so i dont really know why u ppl are complaining
the 700s > technics1200a imo
tried them...... what to say...
not my thing
i still dont get it why my friend bought the technics instead of something else |

Sorry bro, these are definately NOT worth the money. I bought a pair about a year ago, and took the finest care of them. They served me well until about a month ago, when the piece of plastic that lets the earphone swivel side to side began to crack, so the earphones wouldnt sit on my head right. Then the other one started to crack. They managed to work ok until the right channel began to suddenly die out. The only way to get it back was to shake them, which only made the problem worse. Finally, the little piece of plastic snapped off, leaving the left earphone dangling by the little wire, rendering them useless. For the $100 theyre worth, they damn well should have lasted a LOT longer than a year. Not only that, but they arent very comfortable on your ears after a fairly long period of time.
I strongly reccomend you dont buy these headphones. Im sure some of you love yours... I did too. Just give it time and you will curse the day you ever dropped your cash on them:whip: |

Same for me. Mine are the same as they were when i first got them :D and I use them ALL the time. Definately worth the money. |

Yep, personaly i thought after a few months the silver colour would of faded, and the "SONY" logo would come off, and maybe the jack would stuff up like on all other head phones, but thankfully still not a problem yet.. ;) after 16 months... :D and counting.:) |

All I have to say is this : When did the mdrv700 came out? Definately before sennheiser, pioneer, technics and like these. SONY made the breakthrough in headphones with that sweet model! ;)
Any other "headphone" is just a copy of the 700's... :cool: |
