If any of you people show me some pictures of a Sound Engineer with a pair of V700's on their head .. I will believe you lol...
Anyways i still think that V700's just have a strong bass(maybe to strong )... Other frequencies are not accurate.. IMO
If your buying a headphone just for the looks then buy the new Pioneer
HDJ-1000 which is a 'better' copy of the V700.. And im sure it wont break since i have had a pair of their older model the SEDJ5000 which is a very good headphone.. I have used the Technics Dj1200 and i can't complain... They are very good headphones!
heres a pic of the Pioneer HDJ1000

I Own now i pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro... And im happy about it..
But what is good for me may not be good for YOU.. SO before u buy anything TEST it yourself.....
peace |

| I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but you guys are all making a huge mistake by buying those 700's. The best heaphones for the money are the Sony MDR V6's these are the same headphones found in 80% of studio's and the same phones that PVD uses (and he doesn't advertise for sony). I've had my pair of V6's for four years now and they have always worked excellent. They have decnt isolation, and the sound quality is only beaten by headphones 3x the price. You can find them at some on-line stores. |

You all get the point... As I said before, 700's was the breakthrough...everything newer is just a copy! :D |

PvD used to use the 700's when they were out! :)
I also saw him live here @ Energy Festival in Greece, he had the V7506... :D I am a lucky sun of a beach huh? :haha: :haha: :haha: (Please do not refer to that liveset, it's not the right thread! ;) ) |

hahahaA~ the more i read this thread .. the crazier i am going to be .. hahhahaA~ .. its so funny to see you guyz quarrel about this headphone .. [ no harm :p :p] Well everybody got some point .. i know Sony has much better qualities during past times .. and now the quality are getting worse plus they are sometimes overprice . i guess its due to their popularity .. like fashion .. hahaaA~ .. though myself is a big fans of Sony .. but sometimes i have to consider to buy a Sony product coz i can get a very similar type of other product which is much cheaper and have same quality ...

why don't we do a big complain to sony about those headphones...
they should made a new "edition" of these but more durable.
for sure if alot of people do complain they'll make new ones...
but at what price ?
liek alot said.. for a 100$... they better be good headphones
|
Well actually i really like DJ Charlie Idea .. i dont think Sony will have big problem in remaking .. just depend on them whether they want to waste their time to produce a new one .. coz they already have the popularity .. so some people might dont know the quality of this sony untill they experienced it by themselves :toothless :toothless :toothless

Umm, i understood that you don't know a fack about the 700's! :o
PvD used them in 2000, AvB has used them also, Sasha has used them, Jules uses sennheiser, etc. etc. Before I bought them I had about 100 photos with famous djs that had these headphones.I am sad for not having these fotos now, or else everyone would shut the fack up! :D
Cheers... |
it's called sponsorship
take a look at the tiesto dutch dimension set...
notice anything?
that's right, stanton headphones and what?
oh yea, a stanton mixer
the djs get paid to use the stuff
and they get like a new pair every week if they wanted to
as soon as theirs breaks, they just talk to sony and they get sent another pair
if anything they probably have 2 pairs just in case
i feel sorry for you...
you got tricked into buying these headphones...
you're doing exactly what sony wants you to do, buy their ty product at an outragous price and love it...
you want to be like all your "heros" just cause they use the v700s too...
sorry, you just wasted your money
i use the v500s, but that's only cause they are perfect for my needs at the moment, but when i start playing out more often and need to buy a better headphone, i'm surely not going with the v700...
and furthermore, this thread would be more suited for the dj forum, where there are many threads about this topic |

I mean, the lower-numbered models in the current MDR-V###DJ series - MDR-V150, MDR-V250V, MDR-V300, MDR-V500DJ and MDR-V600. All of those either sound worse and/or are flimsier than the MDR-V700DJ. |
