I'm not trying to be a dick right now, but I'm just confused as to what you were saying about Cosmic Opera or what it was brought up? |

| I brought it up because they spent a lot of money bringing in huge talent to a big venue with a crazy amount of press behind it. On paper and to everyone else it would appear as a success but in reality they spent more money on talent than the actual party made, and when it came time to throw the second and third events they were compounding their losses. They had the money but did not have the foundation or politics in place to negotiate a sustainable rate which is critical if you want to stay in business and keep throwing parties. Events production and promotion is an art not a science and money alone will not buy a following or continued success (unless you're LiveNation or Ticketmaster and you buy every other promoter..). You have to take politics into consideration no matter how big or small you are - which I assume is the same situation with Capriati and the promoters. Not trying to say that Sullivan Room is the best venue for this party either but at the same time I don't think it's fair to come down on them when they are actually trying to do something for the scene. |

So for all you could know Ibiza United and Endless could be making the same mistake as Cosmic Opera and just throwing money at the situation.
Btw Cosmic Opera was a horrible party. |

| I didn't realize Cosmic Opera didn't make money. I always assumed that the third one didn't come around because of how bad the reviews were for the 2nd one. |

| Just saw pics of Sankeys/D36, looks like they are getting close to opening. They are def just slapping on the Sankeys logo though which sucks.....had higher hopes for Sankeys... |

i posted about venue choice and you calling out on politics. i posted about a single event and you're talking one,two,three events. do us all a favor, add some more bailey's to your cereal. everyone involved with Marquee and Output (hell even those ing with System), anyone BLKMARKET, anyone RESOLUTE, anyone DEEP IN THE SCENE, knows that JC delivers to the underground and not that fluffy oil above water axwell, unicorn meat, cosmic opera bull your on about homie, so you can leave politics out of this. fact is, it's a POOR CHOICE OF VENUE and I'm positive endless/ibiza united are realizing this and if you don't agree, you're obviously not DEEP IN THE SCENE. |
