It's a great pass time. I do it on fb as well and have burned a few bridges in the process.

Guess you're new to the scene and weren't around during the Better Living Centre, Automotive Building, or Citrus/Dose party days. We've always had one of the largest Electronic Music scenes here. Only after the massive raves got outlawed & moved into the clubs....did each genre get segregated and isolated from each other leading up to what we have today; A bunch of elitist know it all's who think their musical taste is better than everyone else's. It's been an ongoing battle between Trance & House music listeners for over a decade. Now it's "REAL" House/Techno/Trance/DnB etc... listeners vs the new EDM neon raver kids. When they're today's version of what Kandi Kids were in the late 90's early 00's. Many of us started there too, and if you didn't then you were probably introduced to the scene late, so you really have no business talking about things you know nothing about. Instead of having that Holier Than Thou attitude towards these kids & new EDM listeners, teach them something, inform them. Just like most of us have broadened our musical tastes since we first got into Dance Music, it won't magically happen over night.

Don't hate, educate.

Been into the scene longer than you've been a virgin. How's that for assumptions? I never liked the kandi kid ravers and I don't like these new age ones either. Nor do I boast about house being better than trance or the other way around, I dont care for it.

Why is it everyone on the internet thinks they got everyone figured out?

Well then, to say that ^^ is the dumbest thing for you to say if you've been in the scene for a long time. Either way, your comment was wrong in every sense. No assumption there.

Relax, Kamil is just representing the usual elitism and hatred typically seen on this board...or wait, is this attitude not wanted anymore??? Is this a change of things to come? Or can only certain 'respected' members be allowed their holier than thou opinion?

Hes got a point here...

I never got into the house v techno v trance type of schisms, but there is a distinct difference between that group as a whole and the "EDM" scene. They are two different animals. I'm not putting them down, but they have little overlay.
