I live in Leeds. It's an hour on the train to Manchester. I put it to TA that the only places I could live in the world with a better choice of clubbing would be London, Berlin, possibly NYC and Ibiza if I were cheating.

But what's it like where you live?

Never been to one here. We don't do clubs. In fact I set foot in a club once in the past 5 years.

I've no idea where "here" is.

Colorado. I moved here from Montreal a year ago.
We had some great ones in Montreal. Stereo Afterhours being the absolute best.

All shapes, sizes, and varieties here in LA. Many with good sound systems. Pretty spoiled.

Of course there are better ones out there in the world, but compared to most cities, we've got it good.

Multiple quality parties every weekend.

There's this place now called 5uinto (5ifth) in Brasilia that is the brainchild of a local tech-house producer and attracts moderately big names all the time (from Oliver Klein to Umek). It's the best option available right now. Most other places play little EDM.

There have been many "dubstep raves" at the University of Brasilia, but they fizzled out because the organisers were apparently too stoned to even show up sometimes, so people would gather and wait for a DJ that never came. Sometimes they'd even forget what they were playing, and just played psy-tekk instead.

It's frustrating, really, because Brazil's best acid techno producer (Acid Chochi), lived just a few kilometres away from my flat, said he would never host a party here because there isn't enough demand, and he eventually moved to Colombia. Every now and then a big name DJ appears (Ferry Corsten, Tiesto), but that's about it :(

Well, in Trondheim, there's your usual night clubs, where you get to hear radio hits and there's nowhere to sit or talk with other people without shouting your lungs out.

There's maybe a few proper club events/nights a year, and we get some famous names once in a while; e.g. David Guetta was here two years ago.

I've seen Slagsmålsklubben and Gold Panda once, that was fun :)

södertälje has it's three or four clubs/bars that i've have set my foot in whenever a mate of mine has played or the likes. they are decent but i mean with swedish laws all premises within residential will close at 02:00 or 03:00 depending on which licenses and whatnot.

most of the times i'll be up in stockholm which is an 30minutes away by car and 45minutes by commute. there you have your fair share of establishments. same rules goes for alot of them but here it's 03:00 when most has to close.

some clubs have who are illegal or semi-llegal who get away with being open past the 03:00 closing rule with loopholes. they are for the most part more fun than the regular clubs as it is about the music. the beverages sold there is cheap beer that in most cases is awful and soft drinks. both of those options have been bought from lidl.

Oh we get all kinds. Drivers, Irons, woods, putters, wedges and chippers. Even some hybrid clubs.

This "afterhours" thing is something I've never really understood, because we don't have that in the UK. Over here, a normal club night will usually open at 9-10pm and shut at 4-6am. Some things (especially after-parties) can go on past 9am but they're pretty rare. But apparently in North America people often wake up in the morning and go out clubbing at mid-day?

Some time soon I will have to go over to Canada and US just to do some partying, because we all talk at each other on this forum like it's just dance music and just clubbing, but there's clearly huge differences in how it's done in different countries.

Absolutely horrible.

2hour train ride to and from Sydney not including the bus/walking travel time to the clubs.
