I've never seen the big deal with being short. maybe I don't know how it feels because I'm fairly normal height 5'11.
How insecure are you about your height? Would you ever do some whack like this?
This just makes him look so much worse IMO. Just accept it and move on. There's plenty of people who seem cool with being short. |

And I'm 5'11 also and have no problem with that but I can't say I'd mind being 2-3 inches taller. |

| I always wanted to be a little taller, but when I was made aware that an extra couple of inches I wanted, had been placed somewhere else on my body, I didn't really care about my height anymore :D |

Some research indicates that short people (where the shortness is not a result of malnutrition) live longer: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1071721/
Certainly it makes some amount of sense. Fewer cells over all means fewer cells that end up having something go wrong in them, other things being equal. Which is also another reason it's not so good to be obese...
