The M.I.K.E. remix of of Vengaboys - Uncle john from jamaica is awesome too. Click on the link in my previous post to find out for yourself.
I agree that quite a few Ian Van Dahl tracks are cheesy, but listen to Nights on java, it's slick top-quality like Push/M.I.K.E. style, no hint of cheese in there at all.
I actually checked the tracklist of that Trance Central compilation, and the stupid thing is the tracks are all radio edits, even though some of the tracks wuold be good if they were full versions. So yeah, that Trance Central compilation does suck.
These days I now look out for quality unmixed compilations. I got "21st Century Trance" volumes 1 and 2, with each volume having 3 CDs. Some excellent tracks that they have are: Rapid Eye - Alderaan (Olmec Heads remix), CRW - I Feel Love (Dumonde Remix), Sunscreem - Exodus (Fire & Ice remix). |

Ian van Dahl is not anyone - just an AKA. It's really Christophe Chantzis and that other one....Eric Vanspauwen. I know Christophe is a decent producer (has remixed tiesto i think). |

| I wouldn't have minded being at trance energy 2000 when tiesto played vengaboys kiss airscape mix, it's an awesome track. When i saw the tracklisting i didn't believe at first it was a vengaboys track but sure enough it was.:eek: |

Yes, it's true that some incredibly cheesy tracks can be transformed into something great. Vengaboys- Kiss (Airscape Remix) being the best example of this. And Nights on Java is actually a good tune! Which is surprising as it comes from the same people who made atrocious tracks like Reason, Castles in the Sky and Will I.
